Maura Higgins' next move 'revealed' after Danny Jones 'drunken kiss'
Maura Higgins has reportedly landed a huge TV deal, weeks after she appeared to kiss Danny Jones at a Brits afterparty. The Love Island star, 34, has not publicly addressed their embrace but has been sharing social media about various work projects, including a business trip to LA and a gin event launch with Margot Robbie. A source revealed: 'Maura's signed on for a new series of Love Island USA – she was so popular after the last season it was clear bosses would sign her up.' 'They don't care about any personal life drama she has in the UK – she's been a huge hit with US audiences,' an insider added to The Sun. This comes after her first on-screen appearance since the embrace with her I'm A Celebrity co-star, Danny, 38, on the BBC's reboot of game show Blankety Blank. Maura reportedly appeared as a contestant on the programme hosted by Bradley Walsh and filmed her episode at Maidstone Studios in Kent in March. A source told The Sun: 'Since that unfortunate incident, Maura's kept to modelling jobs and posting glossy social media videos, but this will be her first TV appearance. 'She's opening herself up to ribbing and scrutiny, but the BBC has ensured the drunken kiss stays off-limits because it's a family show.' While Maura has remained silent on the kissing scandal, Danny issued a public apology to his wife, model Georgia Horsley, 38. The McFly singer has been married to Georgia, a former Miss England, since 2014, and they have a son, Cooper, together. The King of the Jungle is set to have a busy summer with gigs lined up with McFly as they go on a joint tour with Busted that extends into the later half of the year across the UK and Ireland. Georgia is expected to return to her Mum's The Word! podcast – which she hosts with Kelsey Parker – soon and is set to take it live at the Big Feastival in the Cotswolds in August. Blankety Blank returned in 2021 after nearly two decades off-screen. First launched in 1979, the show was inspired by the American game show Match Game. More Trending It was hosted by Sir Terry Wogan from 1979 to 1983 before Les Dawson took over from 1984 to 1990. Lily Savage eventually revived Blankety Blank from 1997 to 1999 and then again from 2001 to 2002. Metro has contacted Maura's reps and the BBC for comment.
