Drugs seized, Fredericton man charged after fleeing police

A 40-year-old man from Fredericton has been charged after fleeing police in Lower Woodstock, N.B.
Western Valley Region RCMP stopped a motorcycle travelling on Route 165 in Lower Woodstock on May 28, around 3:46 a.m.
The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle fled on foot towards a wooded area, an RCMP release from Monday said.
The man was located and arrested shortly after.
During the arrest, police seized a large amount of what is believed to be cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy and drug paraphernalia.
Vindal Todd Hatto appeared in Woodstock provincial court the same day and was charged with:
possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
flight from police
resisting arrest
driving while prohibited
He was remanded into custody until the following day, when he appeared in court again.
Hatto was denied bail and remains in custody. His next court appearance is June 19.
