UAE and Dominican Republic Launch Partnership to Advance Government Modernisation
The United Arab Emirates and the Dominican Republic have established a bilateral partnership focused on exchanging expertise in government modernisation, capacity building, and future skills development.
This collaboration was formalised under the UAE Government Experience Exchange Programme, which promotes sharing best practices and innovative governance models globally.
The agreement was signed by Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Knowledge Exchange, and Luis Madera Sued, Deputy Minister of Planning and Public Investment for the Dominican Republic. It reflects the UAE's strategy to broaden its strategic ties across the Caribbean region.
Lootah highlighted the Dominican Republic's participation as a sign of rising international trust in the UAE's governance model, positioning the country as a key player in shaping the future of government worldwide. He underlined the UAE's dedication to expanding cooperation with Caribbean nations in knowledge exchange and public sector development.
The Government Experience Exchange Programme acts as a global platform to share insights on governance innovation and capacity building, aiming to enhance government efficiency and societal well-being. It supports the creation of agile governance systems capable of adapting to evolving challenges.
Deputy Minister Madera Sued expressed the Dominican Republic's keen interest in deepening collaboration with the UAE, particularly in government reform and modernisation. He emphasized that the partnership aligns with the country's strategic development plans and future policy goals.
