Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry lays out plan to help businesses grow

(WHTM) — The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry wants more people to grow their businesses and careers in the state, and their new roadmap shows how Pennsylvania can strengthen its economic competitiveness. The chamber said there are 62 available workers for every 100 jobs in the state, and it's causing Pennsylvania to fall behind other states in terms of growth. They added that they want to increase the population, which would, in turn, increase the workforce. 'What are the things we can do in terms of a business climate standpoint that would have companies growing jobs right here in Pennsylvania?' said Luke Bernstein, the Chamber's President and CEO. 'So, whether you're in Pennsylvania, how do you make your next investment here, or your company outside of Pennsylvania? How do you grow or make that next investment into Pennsylvania?' The Chamber and CEO say that the first step to launching the keystone initiative policy is that a policy change is needed. The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Kelly Loeffler was at Plouse Manufacturing in Highspire this morning to promote how restoring American Industry could lead to economic growth and high-paying jobs.
