N.S. man charged with promoting genocide, inciting hatred

A New Glasgow, N.S., man has been charged with promoting genocide in relation to several messages allegedly targeting Jewish communities.
New Glasgow Regional Police says it responded to a report of postings of online hate speech from a residence around 3:35 p.m. on Friday.
Officers found and arrested Luke Alexander MacDonnell, 22, who was charged with:
advocating and promoting genocide
public incitement of hatred
willful promotion of hatred
MacDonnell was remanded into custody and will appear in court in Pictou on Monday.
