Prince William and Kate Middleton's controversial sleeping habit revealed

The Prince and Princess of Wales are normally a safe bet when it comes to being inspired, whether it's Kate Middleton's impeccable fashion or Prince William's dedication to important causes. However, there's one thing the couple do that might split opinion - letting the dog sleep in bed with them. That's right, when the HRHs hit the hay in their countryside home of Adelaide Cottage after a busy day with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, it's not just a party of two. According to Hello!, the future King shared this revelation during a visit to Duchy College Stoke Climsland in Callington, Cornwall. Speaking to Louise Harland, who met Prince William with her dog Jacks, Prince William reportedly opened up about him and Catherine letting their dog, Orla, curl up in bed with them. Catherine, the Princess of Wales: A Revelatory Biography of the Future Queen by Robert Jobson | Was $29.95, Now $11.45 at Amazon This biography of the Princess of Wales explores how she became the woman she is today. Author Robert Jobson has spoken to sources on and off the record in the Royal Household and reflects on her beginnings and role as the future Queen Deal Louise is said to have recounted the discussion on Hits Radio Cornwall, explaining, "[He] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate." The Wales' black cocker spaniel, Orla, has been with the family since 2020. She is believed to have been a gift from Kate's dog-loving brother, James Middleton, following the loss of their first dog, Lupo. Like Lupo before her, Orla has appeared in family photos over the years and was photographed with a doting Kate as she watched a polo match the Prince of Wales was playing in back in 2022. While most can agree that dogs are great, not everybody will agree on having them sleep in the bed and it's something couples often fight over. However, the Prince and Princess of Wales seem to find allowing their "little dog" to sleep on the bed something that works for them all. Which makes sense, as they both come from well-known animal lovers. In addition to Queen Elizabeth II's iconic corgis over the years, there have been plenty of pets and adorable moments between animals and the royals. William and Kate's shared love of animals is so strong that it's been suggested their first dog together, Lupo, might have played a part in deciding Prince George's name. Shop the best Memorial Day sales From the hottest fashion brands to beauty buys, fragrance and homewares, we've been searching for the best Memorial Day sales on offer this weekend As reported by The Times, the Prince and Princess of Wales are believed to have written various names on pieces of paper - which might have included the one Kate had her 'heart set on' - and scattered them, with Lupo apparently stopping next to "George". When he passed away, the couple shared a heartfelt personal message on social media and declared that they will "miss him so much" and he was "at the heart" of the family. Prince William's supposed revelation about his and Kate's sleeping set-up with Orla could be seen to show that she's very much at the heart of the Wales family too. She seems to have an especially close bond with Princess Charlotte as she has appeared alongside her in photos released to mark the royal's seventh and eighth birthdays, looking as adorable as ever.

Which is the best US city to start a career? It's not New York City or San Francisco

With graduation season in full swing in the US, a list by WalletHub about the "Best & Worst Places to Start a Career" in the US has surprised the internet. It claims that the title goes to Atlanta, Georgia. The list ranked 182 cities using several parameters, such as job growth, affordable housing, average commute, starting salary, and more, to find where each American city stands. The survey says, "Atlanta is the best place to start a career, boasting one of the highest growth rates in the median household income, at around 8.2% annually. The median annual household income in Atlanta is already pretty high as well, at nearly $85,400.' It further claims this city is perfect for those looking forward to starting their business. The survey added that on Glassdoor, an anonymous review website of workplaces, most companies based in Atlanta are rated 4 out of 5, with a high satisfaction rate. Orlando in Florida bagged the title of the second-best city for starting a career, and the third-best city is Tampa, also in Florida. Pearl City in Hawaii is at the bottom of the list. New York ranked 179th among the 182 cities. As for San Francisco, this California city claimed the 51st position on the list. 'Transitioning out of school and into the workforce can be a difficult and stressful process, but certain cities make things a lot easier than others. The best cities for starting a career not only have a lot of job opportunities but also provide substantial income growth potential and satisfying work conditions,' Wallethub analyst Chip Lupo said. 'It's also important to consider factors such as how fun a city is to live in or how good of a place it is for raising a family, to ensure life satisfaction outside of your career,' Lupo added.

Nolensville town leaders try to keep up with population growth

NOLENSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — What was once a town of 5,861 people in 2010, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, has nearly tripled in size. Now, data from the Nolensville special census shows the certified population for the town in 2024 was 16,836. 'We've got quite a bit of development coming in, as well, so we're trying to keep up with that,' Matthew Lupo, interim fire chief for Nolensville Fire and Rescue, told News 2. The department currently has 14 of its 17 positions filled and is looking to add another three positions to serve the town's growing population. Volunteer organization building homes for disaster victims in Clarksville 'We're playing a little catch up, but the fire department really just started, the municipal side of it started in 2021, so it's fairly new. We've kind of just purchased all our own equipment and [are] just trying to keep up with the growth,' Lupo added. Fire officials said the department averages about four calls for service per day but has been stretched thin a few times in the past. 'One day in, I guess it was 2022, it was a winter day, we had 85 calls in a day, so that's very unusual. We don't get that, but it happens,' Lupo explained. Nolensville Fire and Rescue is also working to build another station on the south side of town. ⏩ 'We'll have one on the north side, one on the south side,' Lupo told News 2. 'We've got it in our five-year plan to hopefully start design work on that second station so we can keep up with the needs of the town and the fire department.' In the 2025 Nolensville Annual Address on Tuesday, April 29, leaders discussed other operational obstacles, like the sewer system nearing capacity and the need for more police officers. News 2 reached out to Nolensville Town Manager Victor Lay, who sent the following statement: Like all of the mid-state, Nolensville is experiencing operational challenges due to the significant growth that has occurred in and around our community from roads to public services. The board of commissioners is evaluating a five-year plan that addresses that growth and would establish priority projects along with the appropriate level of services desired for the community. The 10 best small cities in America to start a business right now

A majority of Americans dream of being their own boss, but building a small business from the ground up is anything but easy. That's why WalletHub set out to find the best small U.S. cities to start a company. 'The benefits of starting a business in a small city include lower overhead costs, stronger relationships with customers and the potential to become a big fish in a little pond,' said WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo. Still, not every small city will set you up for success. 'Entrepreneurs who want to build a large professional network aren't likely to make as many connections in a town with fewer residents,' Lupo said. 'Other restrictions might include limited industry options, a less diverse customer base, and difficulty attracting and keeping top talent.' To create its list, WalletHub looked at the business-friendliness of more than 1,300 small-sized cities, analyzing them by their costs, business environment, and access to resources. It considered factors like startups per capita, average growth in business revenue, financing accessibility, working-age population growth, and labor costs.
