Movie lovers are all saying the same thing as a preview of the upcoming Sing Street musical has debuted online. The highly anticipated UK stage show is an adaptation of John Carney's beloved 2016 film. Actor and musician Adam Hunter, who featured on the original film soundtrack, will make his musical theatre debut in the production, which runs from July 8-August 23 at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre in London. The synopsis for the production reads: 'The show is set in Dublin in 1982, and sixteen-year-old Conor can't catch a break. His parents are fighting, his brother won't leave the house and he's not fitting in at his new Catholic school. 'Enter Raphina, a mysterious girl who's too cool for school and on the lookout for a modelling job. In an effort to impress, Conor hires her to star in a music video for his band. Only problem is he doesn't have a band. Yet.' WhatsOnStage took to TikTok this week to share a first look snippet at the show's rehearsal, with loyal fans of the movie all saying the same thing. 'If the actors aren't speaking in an Irish accent, then you can just pack it in,' one user wrote. 'I need to hear that raw Dublin accent or I'm gonna audition myself,' another penned.
