Shreyams Kumar elected State president of RJD
The Kerala State Committee of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Sunday unanimously elected M.V. Shreyams Kumar as its new State president. A 50-member State committee and 20 representatives to the national council were selected from a 140-member strong State council.
In his speech later, Mr. Shreyams Kumar urged the workers to uphold the democratic and socialist ideals and take up the issues faced by farmers to strengthen the party in the State.
He also urged the workers to observe the 50th anniversary of the Emergency as 'Human Rights Protection Day' on Wednesday.
