MACC joins Hawana 2025 as strategic partner, funds key media gathering
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has become the first enforcement agency to be named a strategic partner for the National Journalists Day (Hawana) 2025.
MACC Strategic Communications Division (BKS) Director Hisyam Mohd Yusoff said the sponsorship is a sign of support to media agencies for their role in disseminating information to the nation.
"Although this is the first time MACC is involved in Hawana as a strategic partner, moving forward, this marks a step towards strengthening collaboration between the commission and media agencies," Hisyam said in a statement today.
Representing MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, Hisyam handed over a mock cheque worth RM31,000 to Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, who officiated the event on June 3.
A total of 79 government and private organisations have joined as strategic partners for Hawana 2025.
Among them were the Malaysia Technology Development Corporation, Federal Land Development Authority, Ministry of Human Resources, Department of Veterinary Services, Malaysia Innovation Foundation, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, and the National Art Gallery.
The Hawana 2025 celebration, organised by the Ministry of Communications through Bernama, will be held from June 13 to 15 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL).
