Over 150,000 SPM Leavers Offered Spots In Public Institutions
A total of 150,557 SPM 2024 school leavers have been offered places in public higher learning institutions for the upcoming academic session, the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) announced today.
The ministry received 223,624 eligible applications through UPUOnline®, of which 67.33% secured placements. This includes: 86,589 students at public universities (UA)
42,058 at polytechnics
20,427 at community colleges
1,483 under the MARA Higher Education Division
A total of 17,693 offers were made through special admission tracks, covering 16,189 candidates from the B40 group, 590 persons with disabilities (OKU), 593 athletes, 321 Orang Asli, and 43 from the Social Welfare Department (JKM) institutions.
For this intake, 349 academic programmes were offered comprising 41 certificate programmes, 55 foundation programmes, 252 diploma courses, and 1 bachelor's degree.
Placements were determined based on meritocracy, ranking applicants from highest to lowest merit scores.
Unsuccessful candidates may submit an appeal via UPUOnline® from June 16 (noon) to June 25, 2025 (5pm). Related
