Lorraine viewers annoyed by 'more irritating than normal' interview

Lorraine viewers shared their annoyance during an interview on the ITV show on Wednesday, just a day after huge cuts were announced at the broadcaster. Lorraine Kelly, 65, had one half of Rizzle Kicks, Jordan Stephens, in the hot seat, as he promotes a new children's book. However, TV viewers at home were distracted by Lorraine's approach to the interview and took to X to voice their frustration. They noted the veteran broadcaster was interrupting her guest, with @MCIJ13 brutally writing: 'She's more irritating than normal today; interrupting etc.' @briggs_han31838 added: 'This woman is just APPALLING at interviewing! How on earth do her colleagues refer to her as a 'national treasure', I will never know,' as @dlmstorys chimed: 'Let him speak FFS !!!!' Lorraine only just returned to work this week after undergoing surgery to have her fallopian tubes and ovaries removed as a preventative measure. The Glasgow-born presenter had shared selfies from her hospital bed with fans, assuring them that the procedure had gone well. However, this week she was dealt a serious professional blow when ITV announced they will be slicing her programme's runtime in half and only airing it on a seasonal basis. The show, which typically runs on weekdays from 9am-10am will now run from 9.30am to 10am, for 30 weeks of the year, rather than throughout the year. It was announced that these major changes will come into effect from January 2026. It was added that Good Morning Britain (GMB) will now run from 6am to 9:30am, filling the half-hour slot originally held by Lorraine. More Trending GMB, with an additional half hour added to the scheduled, will now have a wider scope of coverage alongside its typical mix of interviews, news, and debates. The show will now reportedly include more 'regional news, agenda-setting investigations, exclusives, and analysis of the biggest stories of the day.' When Lorraine is off air, GMB will fill the slot entirely and run from 6am to 10am. Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV, for now. Got a story?
