Lucknow: Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, Gorakhpur (MGYGU), envisioned and founded under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is rapidly emerging as a model institution for futuristic, employment-oriented education and accessible, quality healthcare. The university has made a mark for itself through swift admissions, globally relevant academic programmes, and advanced medical facilities that integrate both modern and Ayurvedic systems—all achieved in a remarkably short span of time. President Droupadi Murmu will visit the MGYGU campus on Tuesday to inaugurate several major infrastructure projects, including a new academic block, a state-of-the-art auditorium, and a world-class Panchakarma Centre. She will also lay the foundation stone for a 1,000-capacity girls' hostel. , marking a significant milestone in the university's ongoing infrastructure expansion. Vice chancellor Dr Surinder Singh said that MGYGU offers a wide range of future-focused academic programmes across disciplines such as MBBS, BAMS, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Agriculture, and Business Administration. Courses are designed to meet global demand, and new additions like Forensic Science, Biomedical Biochemistry, and Microbiology reflect evolving career trends. The university emphasises practical, career-ready education aligned with international standards.
