MHP investigates fiery crash in Copiah County
COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating a fiery crash that occurred in Copiah County. The crash occurred on Highway 27 near Camp Lane, south of Georgetown, just after 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 1. Mass shooting in Fayette leaves one dead, multiple injured According to MHP, the vehicle involved in the crash appeared to be traveling south when it left the road and collided with a tree. The vehicle caught fire. At this time, MHP officials said investigators were unable to identify the vehicle, possibly a white Ford Bronco, or the driver. Susanna Reid's award-winning red midi dress is now on sale with £60 off
Susanne Reid wore a flattering fitted red midi dress to accept her recent award win, and it's currently on sale at LK Bennett with a huge £60 off Fans have been congratulating Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid after she scooped the Outstanding Achievement Award from MHP 30 To Watch last night. As well as thanking her GMB team, Susanna also shared the details of her outfit with fans on Instagram, which included a stunning fitted red midi dress that flattered her figure. Although it was ideal for the formal awards setting, Susanna's midi dress could just as easily be worn for the office with a pair of heels or loafers and a blazer, or as an understated and elegant outfit for parties and events. The square neckline, long sleeves and midi length keep it modest and work appropriate, so you can easily take it from meetings to dinner without needing to change. Despite its hefty discount the dress is currently still available in all sizes from a 6 to a 20, with only the size 4 currently out of stock. It's made from a recycled stretch crepe that makes it form fitting and figure flattering, and fastens with a hidden back zip. If you're looking for something similar that feels a little more events-ready, the Vesper Bengaline Fishtail Midi Dress is £62 at ASOS and has a similar form-flattering fit and bold red colour, with a square neckline. However the Vesper dress is sleeveless with wide straps, rather than long sleeved, and has a fishtail hemline that adds a little drama and movement. Meanwhile at Debenhams you can get the Orange Square Neck Long Sleeve Ruched Bodycon Mesh Midi Dress for a more affordable £50, although it's only stocked in sizes 8 to 16. It has ruched detailing that accentuates your curves, a square neckline and long sleeves with a similar fitted silhouette. Those on a tight budget should also check out Joe Browns' Make A Statement Stretch Red Dress, which is on sale down from £55 to £35. Coming in a similar bold red shade to Susanna's dress, it has a stretchy bodycon fit and midi hemline, with an asymmetric neckline and long sleeves. GMB's Susanna Reid honoured by co-stars for 'outstanding achievement
Good Morning Britain stars Ranvir Singh and Robert Rinder took a moment to congratulate their co-star Susanna Reid during Friday's show. Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh and Rob Rinder couldn't help but shower their colleague, Susanna Reid, with adoration on Friday's episode. As they wrapped up the latest news segment, Ranvir exclaimed: "Before we go into this part of the show, can we say congratulations to Susanna?" Heaping praise on her achievements, Ranvir announced: "Our lovely Susanna (Reid) won an amazing award last night for outstanding achievement in journalism." The ITV programme shared a glimpse of the beaming Susanna clutching her accolade, dressed in a stunning red frock. Ranvir commented: "She'll also be rather pleased that it was from the MHP's 30 To Watch, which is for young journalists under the age of 30. But, I think she won it for a different reason, which is for outstanding longevity and absolutely fantastic work." The ITV star informed the viewers about the specifics of Susanna's achievement, stating she received the plaudit for outstanding investigative storytelling, reports Bristol Live. Finishing her glowing tribute, Ranvir added: "So, congratulations to you Susanna, no doubt she'll be here on Monday with her award. But, congratulations, well deserved!" 77-year-old Louisiana man dies in Mississippi crash
PIKE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A 77-year-old Louisiana man was killed during a crash in South Mississippi. The crash occurred on Interstate 55 in Pike County around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27. Baylor football athlete Alex Foster passes away Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2013 Buick Enclave was traveling north on the interstate when it left the road and collided with a tree. Natchez resident killed in Louisiana crash
CONCORDIA PARISH, La. (WJTV) – A Natchez resident was killed during a crash in Louisiana. Louisiana State police said the crash occurred on U.S. Highway 84 west of Louisiana Highway 3180 around 6:45 a.m. on May 25. MHP reports five fatal crashes over 2025 Memorial Day weekend Authorities said a 2004 Toyota Camry was traveling west on the highway when the driver lost control, left the road and hit a utility pole and tree. The driver was identified as Morgan Freeman, 36, of Natchez. Freeman was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Close Thanks for signing up!
