Luke Littler left fuming by 'scum of the earth' while playing darts exhibition
Luke Littler was livid after his team's van was trashed by vandals during an exhibition in Norwich. The reigning world champ was joined by darts legends Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld for the MODUS Icons of Darts night out in Norfolk. The Nuke made headlines, beating Luke Humphries in the final to add another chapter to their burgeoning rivalry. Post-match, Littler was left gutted as he found the back window of his Mercedes van smashed in. Taking to Instagram, he shared a snap of the damage with his followers. Littler didn't mince words in his caption: "Just trying to do an exhibition in Norwich and this happens, absolute scum of the earth." The vandalism happened on the closing day of Epic Studios' MODUS event, set in the heart of Norwich city. The organisation is known for throwing non-PDC dart events that feature today's heavy-hitters, online sensations, and blasts from the past, reports the Express. Littler triumphed over Humphries not long before news dropped that they'd be teaming up for next month's World Cup of Darts. Touted as heavy favourites, they're poised to scoop the prize in Frankfurt owing to their recent reign over the sport. Earlier in the week, Humphries backed their all-star duo to deliver the goods at the cup, with Cool Hand claiming it'll take something special for any competitors to take them down. "I think everybody is expecting us to win it and no one's going to touch us," he shared with the Weekly Dartscast. "There are some great teams in there, the likes of Gezzy [Price] and Jonny [Clayton] are a potential banana skin. "Gian van Veen is playing really well. Him and Danny [Noppert], if they get going, that's a tough team. Gary [Anderson] and Peter [Wright], Peter's playing better again now. "These are all potential banana skins, but if me and Luke gel and everything goes well, it's going to be an incredibly tough performance to beat us both."

Luke Littler's van window smashed in Norwich during exhibition with Luke Humphries
Luke Littler was dismayed to discover that the rear window of his van was smashed while he took part in an exhibition match in Norwich. The 18-year-old defeated rival Luke Humphries in the MODUS Icons of Darts event in the city on Friday night but returned to his vehicle to discover the rear window had been smashed. Alongside an image of the van, Littler posted on Instagram: "Just trying to do an exhibition in Norwich and this happens, absolute scum of the earth." The PA news agency has approached Norfolk Constabulary for comment. Humphries and Littler, ranked first and second in the world, were joined at the exhibition by former world champions Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld. Littler became the youngest-ever darts world champion in January, aged 17, when he defeated Michael van Gerwen in the final of the PDC's flagship event at Alexandra Palace.

The reigning world champion, who was joined by darts legends Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld for the MODUS Icons of Darts event in the Norfolk city, made it to the final where he triumphed over Luke Humphries, adding another chapter to their burgeoning rivalry. Post-event, 'The Nuke' was devastated to find the rear window of his van had been shattered by vandals. He shared a photo on his Instagram story, clearly showing the damage to the back of his Mercedes vehicle. Littler captioned the post: "Just trying to do an exhibition in Norwich and this happens, absolute scum of the earth." The incident occurred on the final day of the MODUS exhibition, hosted at Epic Studios in the heart of Norwich city centre. The organisation is known for regularly hosting non-PDC tournaments featuring current stars, social media influencers and past icons. Littler's victory over Humphries in the final came just days after the duo were confirmed as partners for next month's World Cup of Darts. Given their recent dominance, they are the clear favourites to take home the trophy in Frankfurt, reports the Express. Earlier this week, Nathan Aspinall beat Chris Dobey 6-1 to take victory on Night 15 of the Premier League in Aberdeen and close in on the play-offs, while Gerwyn Price earlier hit a nine-dart finish and Littler made sure of top spot at the O2. Article continues below Aspinall – who coasted past Stephen Bunting 6-1 in the semi-finals – built on a couple of early breaks over Dobey to establish a solid lead. After Dobey, who knocked Littler out to reach the final, lost his throw again in the sixth leg, he then missed two more darts at a double in the next as Aspinall came back to land double 10. Aspinall's victory leaves him four points clear in fourth spot, eliminating Dobey, while Michael van Gerwen would need to win the final night in Sheffield to overhaul him.

World Cup winner shows true colours with comments about Luke Littler
In just a short time as a professional, Luke Littler has had an everlasting impact on the sport of darts, and World Cup champion John Henderson has made his thoughts known Darts star John Henderson has lauded the impact of Luke Littler as he prepares to take on social media stars in a popular influencer event. The fan-favourite Scotsman fell out of the PDC's ranks in 2024, having graced the Premier League in his hometown of Aberdeen to the chorus of bagpipes and partnered Peter Wright to World Cup glory. After losing his Tour Card, Henderson sought match practice on the MODUS Super Series and hasn't looked back. MODUS has been home to many a budding professional in its time, and none have climbed higher than The Nuke, who won back-to-back Super Series titles in 2023. Now, with Littler having inspired not only a younger generation, but also thrust the sport into such limelight that influencers have started to produce darts content, Henderson will once again partner with a social media star at the oche and credits the teenage sensation for the game's growth. "If somebody would have said I would be playing influencers 10 years ago, I'd have laughed at it," admitted Henderson, speaking as he prepares to star at the MODUS Super Series Influencer Darts Showdown live exclusively on Pluto TV. "I think, obviously, the Luke Littler effect has helped that side of things, like the youngsters coming through. But the event seems to work. "The public love watching it, and it's good to see some of the professionals getting involved and playing with them, and it's just such a relaxed day. "It's good for the sport as well. I think it gives the audience something different to watch. What he [Littler] has done, you know, in the past 12 months, everybody's thinking, 'Oh, I want a piece of that.' "Obviously, Luke Littlers only come along every so often, but it really has progressed as the younger generation coming through, everybody's buying dartboards now. "There are academies up and down the country. It's all good for the younger generation coming through. Luke has certainly put his mark on the sport, there's no question about that." Henderson, 52, alongside the likes of fellow pros Robert Thornton, Mervyn King, and Richie Burnett, will take to the MODUS stage alongside a set of social media personalities, with 12-year-old wonderkid Jayden Walker also in action on Sunday. "I did one of the first ones, played with AngryGinge. They're kind of very relaxed, and it was a very good day out," continued Henderson, who has previously been partnered with YouTuber AngryGinge, a friend of phenom Littler's. "I really enjoyed the last one, so it's good to see some of these guys that have never thrown a dart before. Good fun, and it's not too serious. "Obviously playing in the week, on the MODUS, you've got your serious head on, then Sunday comes, and you can just chill out and enjoy the company. "They're very young lads and they've got some very interesting backgrounds, so it's good to chill out, just have a game of darts and have a wee chat with them."
