Three people airlifted to hospital after A541 crash Bodfari

On Wednesday (April 23) police received numerous reports at around 7.40pm of a three vehicle road traffic collision near the Downing Arms Inn, on the A541 at Bodfari in Denbighshire. North Wales Police have confirmed this morning that three casualties were airlifted to major trauma centres and four others were taken by land to local hospitals. The casualties' conditions range from being life threatening to life changing and the families of all of those involved are aware. Two people have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injuries by dangerous driving and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this collision is underway, say police. MORE NEWS Sergeant Daniel Rees from the Roads Crime Unit, said: 'I am appealing for witnesses to the collision, who have not provided their details to police, to come forward and also to anyone who may have seen, or have CCTV or dashcam footage of, a silver BMW 118 and a Silver Mercedes A200 travelling together in the area of Denbigh and Bodfari at around this time to contact police. "I would also like to ask that people refrain from commenting on social media posts regarding this incident so as not to prejudice the criminal investigation and instead please contact us directly to pass any information.' 'If anyone has any information relating to this collision, please contact police quoting event number C057641.'
