'I think my favorite part of science and jobs Academy is the excitement of the students getting to experience all of just the science exploration components. So they're getting exposure to like forensic science and health science and environmental science. They get to experience um activities where they've kind of going beyond the textbook and they get to take activities and apply them into real world scenarios,' said Debra Kwolek, 'Science to Jobs' Summer Academy Co-director. Roughly 160 students from across the state are in town for the two-day camp. Last week, Missouri Southern hosted a similar academy geared towards high school students.
