"We exposed terrorist acts of Pak to the world," All-Party Delegation member Thambidurai says
New Delhi [India], June 8 (ANI): All-Party Delegation member and AIADMK MP M Thambidurai on Sunday said that the visit of the delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad was a successful one and they exposed the terrorist activities of Pakistan to the world. As the delegation arrived at New Delhi airport, Thambidurai while speaking to ANI, said that all the countries were on Indian side when it came to combating terrorism. 'From AIADMK, I participated in the delegation headed by Ravi Shankar Prasad. We visited France, Italy, Rome, London, Brussels, Denmark, and Germany. We exposed the terrorist activities of Pakistan to the world. Most of the legislators, officials and diaspora were convinced... We got a very good reception. I am very thankful to Prime Minister Modi for this opportunity. Among the various countries, officials and even parliamentarians- all those countries are with India. They are supporting India against terrorism and what happened [in Pahalgam]. Thus it is a successful delegation to European countries,' he said. The Indian Embassy in Germany on Saturday said that the All-Party Parliamentary Delegation concluded its visit to Germany. The delegation successfully conveyed India's firm and principled position against terrorism. In a post on X, the Embassy stated, 'As the All-Party Parliamentary Delegation concluded its visit to Germany, India's firm and principled position against terrorism found resonance across the top political leadership, decision- makers and think-tanks -- reinforcing depth of the India-Germany Strategic Partnership.' The recent visit by the all-party Group-2 delegation, led by BJP MP Prasad, took place amid growing international concern over terror attacks, notably the Pahalgam incident in Jammu and Kashmir, which has drawn widespread condemnation from global partners. During their Europe tour, the delegation held key meetings with government officials, parliamentarians, and think-tanks in countries including Germany. Vice President of Germany's Bundestag, Omid Nouripour, met with All-Party Parliamentary Delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad. He remarked that 'India is the country on earth, for the last decades, which has been most affected by terror attacks... we have to stand at the side of the people in India and help, without any escalation, that the country is kept safe.' All-party delegation member Thambidurai calls Pakistan 'name-sake democracy', lauds PM Modi's tough stand on terrorism
Berlin [Germany], June 7 (ANI): AIADMK MP M Thambidurai, a member of an all-party delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, on Saturday slammed Pakistan, calling it a 'name-sake democracy' and attributing its support for terrorism to repeated military failures. Addressing the Indian Diaspora at a community event in Berlin, the AIADMK MP praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strong actions against terrorism, noting India's overall democratic development and its stance against terrorism from 'Kashmir to Kanyakumari.' 'Kashmir to Kanyakumari, it is one India... India moved towards development in a democratic way... These are the achievements of India... However, there is no democracy in Pakistan, just a name-sake democracy... They cannot succeed in wars; therefore, they are using terrorism... India and PM Modi have taken strong steps to destroy the terrorist camps and not the civilian people. Therefore, it is our duty to come and speak to the world to get support... India is taking the lead; every country is saying that terrorism has to stop,' Thambidurai said. Congress MP Amar Singh, also part of the delegation, stressed the unity against terrorism. Citing the recent attack in Pahalgam, he said the act was an attempt to divide communities. In a nation, the opposition and the government do not agree with each other. It is a part of democracy. But why did we come together here? Let me tell you, in India, many terrorist attacks have happened till now... The incident of Pahalgam was done to divide the two religions in India. However, after that, all the residents of J&K protested against that incident... The whole of India came together to fight against this incident. So, the political parties also came together... Pahalgam is not the first incident... We are not here to advertise India... We are here to say that it is important to isolate Pakistan on a global level,' Singh stated. Meanwhile, another delegation member and Rajya Sabha MP Ghulam Ali Khatana highlighted Pakistan's destabilisation efforts in Kashmir, the sacrifices made by Kashmiri Pandits and advocated for peaceful neighbourhood growth but firm retaliation against aggression. 'Pakistan wanted to empty the Kashmir that is under their control. We sacrificed a lot. Our Kashmiri Pandits, significant assets of Kashmir, had to leave Kashmir. Pakistan was troubled because of the development in Kashmir. Tourism, G20 events, even yesterday, the Chenab bridge was inaugurated in Kashmir by the PM... We want our neighbours to develop, but if we get a 'goli', we will retaliate with 'gola',' Khatana added. The delegation, led by Ravi Shankar Prasad, also includes BJP MPs Daggubati Purandeswari and Samik Bhattacharya, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, former Union Minister MJ Akbar and former diplomat Pankaj Saran. The delegation arrived in Germany after concluding their visit to Belgium to convey India's resolute and united stand against terrorism. (ANI)

"High time to expose terrorist activities of Pakistan": AIADMK MP M Thambidurai in London
London [UK], June 1 (ANI): All-party delegation member and AIADMK MP M Thambidurai on Sunday said it is high time to expose Pakistan's terrorist activities, and its weakness is economic instability. The AIADMK MP Thambidurai is part of the delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad and consists of Daggubati Purandeswari of TDP, Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena-UBT, Ghulam Ali Khatana of BJP, Dr. Amar Singh of Congress, Samik Bhattacharya of BJP, former Union Minister MJ Akbar and Ambassador Pankaj Saran. Speaking to ANI, M Thambidurai said, '... This is the high time to expose the terrorist activities of Pakistan... Pakistan's weakness is economic instability. There is no democracy. Only military generals are ruling the country... The marshals who are there have no agenda other than attacking India. They could succeed militarily, hence terrorism is their weapon. UN has also declared that there are 52 centres of terrorism in Pakistan... India is a stable country... Our only issue is terrorism... We are exposing Pakistan around the world...' Former Deputy NSA Pankaj Saran, who is also part of the delegation led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, said their visit to London aims to convey that India is ready and capable of fighting terrorism on its own. Saran added that the delegation is hopeful and confident about explaining India's position and seeking understanding from the UK. 'It is a fruitful program in London, meeting everyone, a big diaspora, media, think tanks, Parliament, every cross section. We have very strong historical ties with the UK... The High Commissioner briefed us in a very comprehensive way on the whole question of terrorism, what we should be the mood in London is... We are very hopeful and very positive that we will be able to convey the message that we have come to do. We have a very senior delegation of members of Parliament, highly experienced, cutting across party lines, across all regions of India. There can be no one better than them to explain India's position. There's a lot of optimism, hope and confidence in the Indian delegation...,' he told ANI. Saran further said that the delegation is seeking understanding from the UK, emphasising that the actual actions and solutions must come from India and that the message is different this time. 'UK's support is very important. The delegation here is to convey that this is the new normal for India, that India is ready and has the capability to fight terrorism on its own. What we are looking for is understanding. The actual actions and solutions can only be found by India. The messaging this time is quite different,' Saran said. (ANI)
