The company currently employs 35 people, of which 21 are based in Cashel. MYNET also have a monitoring centre in South Africa which works in sync with their Irish operation.
MYNET provide specialist monitoring services for security systems such as CCTV, alarms and access control. The company is among Ireland's fastest growing alarm receiving centre and monitoring centres (ARCs).
Speaking on Wednesday evening, MYNET CEO Jack Raeburn said: 'Due to increasing numbers of monitoring contracts being awarded to MYNET for large client portfolios, we are expanding the size of the monitoring facility in Cashel town to add resources for growth.
'As a result, we have a number of new roles available in the business. We are hiring for the following, monitoring operators, operations managers, IT infrastructure engineers, administration staff – 20 additional new staff.'
MYNET is an independent ARC which makes them a large scale disrupter to the industry, as they only deal with third party installation companies and have an international service offering, added a spokesperson.
Independent Cllr John O'Heney said: 'This is a fantastic news for our local economy and it is very positive to see a Company such as MYNET invest heavily in its Tipperary operation. These jobs will be a welcome boost to the entire West and South Tipperary region. I was very happy to work with and support Jack and his fantastic team here in Tipperary throughout this job creation project.'
