Over 5,000 Palestinian families displaced from Nur Shams & Tulkarm Camps

Ramallah – Saba: Nihad al-Shawish, head of the Popular Committee in Nur Shams camp, stated that 5,000 Palestinian families have been displaced from Nur Shams and Tulkarm camps since the start of the Israeli aggression four months ago. Al-Shawish explained that 2,500 families fled Nur Shams camp, while 3,000 families were displaced from Tulkarm camp, emphasizing the residents' rejection of the forced displacement policies they face, according to the Ma'an News Agency. In an interview with "Voice of Palestine" radio, al-Shawish also refuted the Israeli occupation authorities' claims of allowing Palestinian citizens to retrieve their belongings from their homes, stressing that they are given only one hour to take what they can. The Commission's lawyer said that prisoner Fadi Ibrahim Shami (24 years old, a resident of Nablus) lost 22 kilograms due to the ongoing starvation of prisoners in all Israeli prisons, he was arrested on May 11, 2023, and his trial is scheduled for June 22, 2025, according to the Ma'an News Agency. Occupied Quds - Saba: A young Palestinian man was martyred on Wednesday evening, to his wounds as a result of the Zionist enemy forces' shelling of the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm, north of the West Bank, two months ago. Ma'an News Agency reported that the martyr Nawas was receiving treatment at the Consulting Hospital in Ramallah, where his martyrdom was announced there as a result of his injury by shrapnel from a Zionist missile in the head and chest on December 23. The Zionist enemy army began a large-scale military operation in the northern West Bank more than a month ago, which is the largest and longest in nearly two decades. Since October 7, 2023, the enemy army and settlers have expanded their attacks in the West Bank, including occupied Quds, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 915 Palestinians, the injury of about seven thousand, and the arrest of 14,500 others, according to official Palestinian data.
