Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan To Have A Cameo In Kajol's Maa? What We Know

Kajol is busy with the promotions of her upcoming horror thriller, Maa, scheduled to hit the big screens on June 27. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film has been generating significant buzz online ever since the makers announced that it belongs to the Shaitaan universe. Ahead of its release, there were speculations that either Ajay Devgn or R Madhavan could have comeos in Kajol 's forthcoming film, but now, during an interview, the actress has finally reacted to these rumours. Speaking to Pinkvilla, Kajol shut down all the reports and said, 'No, no. Kaash aapne ye chiz pehle suggest ki hoti. Humari shooting se pehle bata diya hota toh hum shayad shooting kar bhi lete (No, no. I wish you had suggested this earlier. We could have filmed it if you had informed me before our shoot)." She added, 'Par, now it's too late. The film is about to be released. We would not be able to add that much now. I hope that you like the film a lot and hopefully, there will be a Maa 2." Maa is backed by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande and Kumar Mangat Pathak, with Jio Studios and Devgn Films presenting the project. The music of the film is composed by Harsh Upadhyay, Rocky Khanna and Shiv Malhotra. The film's plot revolves around a mother who fights supernatural forces to defend her daughter from a demonic curse that has its roots in a cursed village. It combines mythology and horror to explore the depths of a mother's determination and the strength of a divine force (Goddess Kali). Apart from Kajol, the film also features an ensemble cast including Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Gopal Singh, Jitin Gulati, Kherin Sharma, Surjyasikha Das, Yaaneea Bharadwaj and Roopkatha Chakraborty. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali languages. It will be facing a clash with Sonakshi Sinha's upcoming mystery thriller, Nikita Roy, co-starring Paresh Rawal and Arjun Rampal. Besides Maa, Kajol also has an action thriller, Maharagni: Queen of Queens, alongside Prabhudeva, Naseeruddin Shah and Jisshu Sengupta and Sarzameen with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in her kitty.
