Ex-Patriots LB puts out rap song for new team's schedule release video

Ex-Patriots LB puts out rap song for new team's schedule release video Wondering what the hype about? Come around and find out. — Arizona Cardinals (@AZCardinals) May 15, 2025 Former New England Patriots and current Arizona Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson put out a rap song for the Cardinals in one of the more unique schedule release videos. Wilson played in three seasons for the Patriots from 2022-2023 after being traded from the Cleveland Browns. He recorded 73 combined tackles, five sacks, three forced fumbles, and four pass deflections in 34 games with New England. He signed a three-year contract with the Cardinals during the 2024 free agency. The Patriots themed their 2025 schedule release video around an egg-dropping competition between Christian Gonzalez, Demario Douglas, Robert Spillane and Marcus Jones. Arizona, on the other hand, decided to go the musical route with Wilson taking center stage. Wilson had one of his most productive seasons in years with the Cardinals, recording 75 tackles, five pass deflections, one interception and three sacks. It's clear he has talent as both an artist and an athlete. Wilson will not get an opportunity to face his former team this season, but the Cardinals' schedule release video will go down as one of the more memorable ones for the 2025 season. Arizona Cardinals LB Mack Wilson believes 'closest teams are the best teams'

Arizona Cardinals linebacker Mack Wilson has a goal in mind for the team. Yes, he wants to win, but he believes that is easier to do under certain conditions. He wants a close-knit group of players. He has made it a goal of his since signing last offseason to be a part of doing that. "Honestly, I feel like the closest teams are the best teams," Wilson said via "I think of my three years at Alabama (in college), how close we were and how we were able to build that camaraderie. That was my mission when I got here last year, 'What can I do to bring this team closer, what can I do to be an asset to the locker room?' "I think I've been doing a good job of that in any way I can." On Saturday, Wilson hosted a charity basketball game. Many current and former Cardinals teammates participated. Among the Cardinals players participating were receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., tight end Trey McBride, safety Rabbit Taylor-Demerson, cornerback Jaden Davis, running back James Conner, receiver Quez Watkins, linebacker Milo Eifler and cornerback Darren Hall. Safety Joey Blount, long snapper Aaron Brewer, cornerback Starling Thomas V, linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither, cornerback Kei'Trel Clark, defensive lineman Darius Robinson, tight end Elijah Higgins, linebacker BJ Ojulari, and linebacker Vi Jones were teammates who came to watch. Former Cardinal Jesse Luketa also was there. "I am just appreciative of them supporting me," Wilson said. "Me going into just my second year here, that means a lot."
