RCMP have charged a 22-year-old central Alberta man with drug trafficking.
The Wetaskiwin RCMP Crime Reduction Unit was patrolling when they saw a known male offender driving a Hyundai Venue on Tuesday.
Officers stopped him after finding that he did not have a driver's licence.
Mounties found about 27 grams of fentanyl and approximately 53 grams of methamphetamine as well as other items consistent with drug trafficking in the vehicle.
RCMP charged a 22-year-old Mackwacis man with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
The man is to appear in Wetaskiwin court on Thursday.
Another individual who was in the vehicle has two charges pending for possession for the purpose of trafficking.
