In a 2017 interview with The Times of India, Madhoo spoke about ageing and working actively in films. She said, 'I don't believe in age affecting your persona. I hate it when people say indha vayasula ippadithan. It's not written anywhere that you should look a certain way in a certain age. In my mind, I'm always an actor. I might not be doing any films for five years, but if I get an offer, I should be able to start shooting immediately. I believe in being holistically healthy." When asked about how she manages to keep up with fashion and life trends, the Roja star said, 'I don't browse through style magazines to find out what's happening in the fashion world. But if you are around people who turn out well to all the haute parties, you automatically imbibe it. I attend parties, and red carpet and film events and I can't look out of place there. I believe that looking good will make you feel good and lift your mood." A very popular actress of the 90s, Madhoo married industrialist Anand Shah on February 19, 1999. They are parents to two daughters, Keia and Ameya. For the unversed, Shah is Juhi Chawla's husband, Jay Mehta's cousin.

‘Chinna Chinna Aasai': Mani Ratnam releases first look of Madhoo, Indrans' Malayalam film
Ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam, who is awaiting the release of his filmThug Life, on Monday (May 19) unveiled the first look of the upcoming Malayalam movie Chinna Chinna Aasai, starring Madhoo and Indrans. The first look features the two lead stars sitting on a bench on a terrace in Varanasi. Interestingly, the film's title is not only borrowed from the popular song from Mani Ratnam's evergreen 1992 Tamil film Roja — which was also a breakout film for Madhoo — the film too is said to be inspired by the soundtrack. Shot entirely in Varanasi, Chinna Chinna Aasai is written and directed by Varsha Vasudev. With music scored by Govind Vasantha, the upcoming film has cinematography by Faiz Siddik and editing by Reckson Joseph. Produced by Abhijit Babuji under his Babuji Productions banner, the film will release in Malayalam and Tamil. A release date is yet to be announced.

Mani Ratnam unveils first look of Indrans-Madhoo's Chinna Chinna Aasai
The first look of the Malayalam film Chinna China Aasai, featuring Indrans and Madhoo (formerly Madhubala) in the lead, was released on Monday. Renowned Tamil filmmaker Mani Ratnam officially unveiled the poster. Notably, it takes its title from the popular song from Mani Ratnam's 1992 film Roja, which starred Madhoo as the titular protagonist. Chinna Chinna Aasai, shot entirely in Varanasi, is written and directed by debutant Varsha Vasudev, who previously helmed the short film Ente Narayanikku. The upcoming film is produced by Abhijith Babuji under the banner of Babuji Productions. Its technical crew includes cinematographer Faiz Siddik, editor Reckson Joseph, and music director Govind Vasantha.
