WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – KSN is excited to announce the winner of our 2025 Remarkable Women series, Madison Smith! Smith will soon travel to Los Angeles for an all-expenses-paid trip, sponsored by our parent company, Nexstar Media Group, along with 124 other Remarkable Women from across the country. Five regional finalists will each receive an additional $5,000 for a nonprofit of their choice, and one outstanding woman will be honored as 'The Nexstar Woman of the Year,' accompanied by a $25,000 donation to a nonprofit close to her heart. KSN's 2024 Remarkable Woman was Heidi Feyerherm-Smith, who took her 6-year-old daughter Chloe's cancer experience and created a childhood cancer nonprofit (the Love, Chloe Foundation) that reaches beyond the United States. 'The Nexstar Woman of the Year' was Jerelyn Rodriguez, co-founder of The Knowledge House, which provides high-tech training to students from underserved communities.
