AC waiting hall opened at Virudhunagar Railway station
Madurai Division of Southern Railway has opened a pre-paid air-conditioned waiting hall at Virudunagar Railway Station for the convenience of passengers.
The facility is located near the Station Manager's office on the first platform, a statement said.
The 28.8-sq. metre waiting hall has got 19 seats. Besides, it has got mobile/laptop charging points, newspapers and magazines.
Indian and Western style rest rooms for ladies and gents were also available there.
Other facilities are restroom for differently abled persons and bathing facility.
The maintenance of the waiting hall is ensured through commercial contracts. Passengers would be charged ₹25 per hour for one person.
A non-AC waiting hall is already available at the station.
