National Lok Adalat on July 12 In Koppal
Koppal: The National Lok Adalat is set to take place in all courts of the district on July 12, providing the public with a chance to amicably and efficiently resolve their legal disputes, stated senior civil judge and member-secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Mahantesh S Daragad.
In a press release, he encouraged both litigants and the general public to seize this opportunity to settle pre-litigation and pending court cases through mutual agreement. "Individuals can resolve a range of disputes at the Lok Adalat, such as civil cases, land acquisition issues, bank recovery cases, applications, labour disputes, MMDR cases, cheque bounce cases, motor accident claims, matrimonial disputes, and compoundable criminal cases," he clarified. Furthermore, any court fees paid will be completely refunded if the case is resolved in the Lok Adalat. However, he noted that once a case is settled in a Lok Adalat, there is no option for appeal, which saves both time and money for the litigants.
