Delhi govt to present 100-day workbook, says Kapil Mishra; slams AAP for protesting instead of working

New Delhi [India], May 31 (ANI): Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra stated that the government, under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, has completed 100 days in office and will present a workbook to the public detailing their progress. 'The Delhi government has completed 100 days, and here the entire cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is going to present the 100-day workbook to the public. We will tell the public in which direction we have moved forward in 100 days,' he said. He also criticised the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging they focused on protests rather than working during their tenure. 'When they were in the government, they were protesting and did not do any work. The public is seeing everything,' he said. The Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, completes its first 100 days of governance in the national capital. The state government has released a 'workbook' on the occasion, highlighting important public welfare initiatives, including the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Mahila Samman Yojana and the Yamuna River cleaning campaign. Following the completion of 100 days in office as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta said that it was not just a responsibility but a 'politics centred on public service, and policies that are for public welfare.' In her 'X' post, Rekha Gupta mentioned that in 100 days, her government has worked towards fulfilling every promise, and her priority was also clear: 'development that can be seen as well as felt.' CM Gupta highlighted that her government endeavours to make Delhi a 'strong, safe, and inclusive capital ' through cleanliness, security, women's empowerment, and e-governance. She further thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his vision of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas'. 'When you gave me the opportunity to serve Delhi, it was not just a responsibility but a resolve to have 'politics centred on public service, and policies that are for public welfare.' In these 100 days, we have worked effectively towards realising every promise. Our priority was clear - development that can be seen as well as felt. Cleanliness, security, women empowerment and e-governance on every front, we have endeavoured to make Delhi a strong, safe and inclusive capital. This has been possible only due to the inspiration, guidance and vision of 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas' of the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The trust of the people of Delhi is my biggest strength. The foundation of change has been laid, and the pace of development will not stop now. Delhi will now continue to move forward with the resolve of good governance and service', the 'X' post said. (ANI)

From Yamuna cleaning to Mahila Samman: Rekha Gupta's govt highlights major initiatives in its first 100 days in Delhi

New Delhi [India], May 31 (ANI): The Delhi government, led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, completes its first 100 days of governance in the national capital. The state government has released a 'workbook' on the occasion, highlighting important public welfare initiatives, including the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Mahila Samman Yojana and the Yamuna River cleaning campaign. Rekha Gupta was sworn in as Delhi's Chief Minister on February 20. The BJP formed the government in the national capital after 27 years by winning 48 seats in the Assembly elections, pushing the incumbent Aam Aadmi Party into the opposition with 22 seats. The Congress failed to win a single seat for the third consecutive time. The workbook titled 'Kam karne wali Sarkar-100 din seva ke' was released by CM Gupta along with her cabinet ministers Ashish Sood and Kapil Mishra, highlighting the government's key initiatives across the health, education, infrastructure and welfare sectors. These include budget allocation for implementing the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, a Rs 51,000 crore provision for the Mahila Samman Yojana, a monthly assistance scheme for poor women. Some of the highlighted measures in the workbook were the Yamuna cleaning plan, street lights, Vay Vandana Yojana, setting up of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, and flagging of DEVI buses. On completing 100 days of the Delhi government, CM Rekha Gupta said, 'We are very happy and satisfied that the rights the people of Delhi deserve are being delivered with full dedication by the government. And surely, as Viksit Bharat progresses, Viksit Delhi will also progress and witness significant development.' A special programme will be held in Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on May 31 to present the government's initiatives in detail. 'To mark the completion of 100 days of Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi government, a special programme will be organised on 31st May at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. On this occasion, a detailed description of the major achievements of the government, welfare schemes and a 100-day action plan will be presented,' CM Gupta said while addressing a press conference. 'Our government is moving on the path of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas' shown by PM Modi ji. Following this path, this workbook will be distributed in all the assemblies, so that the citizens can also get details of the work being done by their elected government,' the Delhi CM said in a post on X. Rekha Gupta started her political journey with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), a student body affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Having studied at Delhi University's Daulat Ram College, she became the President of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) in 1996-97 and actively raised student issues. As a councillor from North Pitampura in 2007, she worked on developing basic facilities in the area, such as libraries and parks. She has also pursued an LLB and is the founder of the AAS, an NGO. She lost the mayoral election to AAP's Shelly Oberoi in 2023. On the other side, the Aam Aadmi Party criticised the BJP government in Delhi, terming it as '100 days of destruction.' '100 days of destruction by the BJP government is just a trailer, the full picture of the BJP's 'destruction model' is yet to come,' the AAP posted on X. On Friday, Delhi Congress President Devender Yadav criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Delhi for failing to deliver on key election promises and for the 'deteriorating' law and order of the national capital. Yadav further said that it is the party's 'duty' to question the pain faced by the people of Delhi as the BJP-led government completes 100 days here. (ANI)

Make Tiranga Yatra a public movement, says BJP leader Dushyant Kumar Gautam

Bharatiya Janata Party's national general secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam on Sunday asked the party workers to make the Tiranga Yatra a public movement in Puducherry. Addressing the workers at BJP office before participating in the Tiranga Rally at Moolakulam, Mr. Gautam said the party should involve general public while taking out the rally across the Union Territory. The BJP national leadership has decided to organise a nation-wide rally to mark the success of Operation Sindoor and express solidarity with the armed forces. The rally will be held without any BJP symbol or flag. 'You should hold Tiranga Yatra involving general public in all 30 Assembly constituencies in the Union Territory. Maximum public participation should be ensured,' he said. Party in charge Nirmal Kumar Surana in his address urged the Mahila wing of the party to organise separate Tiranga Yatra in all Assembly segments. The women workers have a big role to play in spreading the success of Operation Sindoor, he said. Home Minister A Namassivayam, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and party president S. Selvaganbathy also attended the meeting. They also participated in the rally held at Ozhukarai and Raj Bhavan Assembly constituencies.

AAP won't contest Delhi Mayor polls, points to BJP's 'triple-engine sarkar'

Days ahead of the April 25 polls, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced that it will not contest the mayoral election in Delhi. The party currently lacks the numbers in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) holds a majority. 'We have decided that we will not field an Aam Aadmi Party candidate in the Mayor's elections this time. BJP should elect its own Mayor, BJP should form its own standing committee and should rule Delhi without any excuses,' AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj said today. Bharadwaj said there's a triple-engine government in Delhi now and the BJP should show what they can do for the people of the national capital. Delhi Municipal Corporation will convene its ordinary meeting on April 25, during which elections for mayor and deputy mayor will be conducted. The nomination process started on April 15 and will end at 5 pm today (April 21). Candidates have the option to withdraw their nominations any time before the election takes place. The term of incumbent mayor Mahesh Kumar ended on March 31. In the last mayoral election, AAP achieved a narrow victory, as its candidate Mahesh Kumar won by a slim three-vote margin against BJP's Kishan Lal. In recent months, the AAP and the BJP-led Delhi government have been at loggerheads over the Mahila Samman Yojana. The AAP has accused the ruling party of not implementing the scheme, which seeks to provide eligible women with monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500. The scheme was a key poll planck of the BJP in the hotly contested Delhi polls. In February, the BJP returned to power in the national capital – for the first time in over two decades – after defeating the AAP. The party, which had been out of power for 27 years, bagged the victory by securing 48 of the 70 Assembly seats. This marked a turnaround for the BJP, which had managed only 11 seats in the previous two elections combined. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), seeking a third consecutive term, suffered a major setback, securing just 22 seats.
