Thirty-nine universities, community colleges, and career technical centers across Ohio were awarded a combined total of $8.3 million through the latest round of Super RAPIDS grants.
YSU received $30,822.75, and MCCTC was granted $126,354.90. The money will allow schools to upgrade their lab and classroom spaces with new, modern equipment.
'We're seeing historic investments in Ohio that are creating thousands of new jobs, and we need a workforce ready to step into those opportunities,' said Governor Mike DeWine in a news release. 'This Super RAPIDS funding will ensure students are training on the same state-of-the-art equipment they'll use on the job, giving them a direct path to these careers.'
