A Feb. 9 Instagram video (direct link, archive link) shows a doctor yelling at a man and telling him to take off his red "Make America Great Again" hat or leave her office. "Patient gets denied healthcare," reads text across the video. The post was liked more than 1,300 times in two days. Other versions of the claim were shared on Instagram, Threads and TikTok. More from the Fact-Check Team: How we pick and research claims | Email newsletter | Facebook page There's no evidence this was a legitimate exchange in a health care setting: The video was originally shared by a TikTok account that creates skits. The man wearing the MAGA hat also appears in several of the page's other videos. The video is a mirrored version of a clip originally shared on TikTok by an account called Thomasgibson31. The account shared a similar video of the skit filmed from a different angle two days prior. Both clips include moments where the woman dressed as a doctor appears to be trying to suppress laughter. The account's page is comprised of many similar skits, with some featuring the same actors, costumes and sets. The man wearing the MAGA hat in the Threads video also acts as a veteran surprising his wife, an angry boyfriend and a diner customer in three of the account's other videos. No, that's AI A woman with long brown hair acts in at least two of the account's skits, while a man with a beard and dark hair appears in at least three. The same red and white diner set and red and yellow waitress costumes are also included in several of the account's videos. USA TODAY reached out to the user who shared the post for comment but did not immediately receive a response. The TikTok account that created the skit couldn't be contacted. But the image in the Instagram post isn't real. It was created with Grok, X's AI chatbot, which can be used for 'question answering, information retrieval, creative writing, image generation and coding assistance,' according to xAI's website. The logo that indicates the image was made by Grok is cropped out of the Instagram post but still appears in other versions of the image posted on X. Fact check: No, Mexico's president did not make statement about 'sending felons' to US Hive Moderation's AI detection tool determined the image is 99.7% likely to be AI-generated. Nothing similar to the image appears on Sheinbaum's social media accounts, and no credible news reports mention her wearing such a hat.
