Sultan of Brunei recovering well after treatment in Malaysia, says Anwar
KUALA LUMPUR: Sultan of Brunei, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, is recovering well following recent medical treatment in Malaysia, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said he had the opportunity to personally contact Sultan Hassnal to enquire about his health condition.
"Alhamdulillah, his health is reportedly improving and continues to be closely monitored by the medical team, including Malaysian healthcare personnel.
"He expressed his appreciation for the excellent service and dedication of the Malaysian medical team involved in his care."
Anwar added that they also discussed the positive progress of Malaysia-Brunei bilateral relations, which remain strong.
The two leaders also touched on ongoing regional matters in Asean.
