Mark your calendars, as this beloved treat it about to make a comeback after 11 years. It's the moment white Maltesers fans have been calling for. The beloved treat, which has been off shelves for the past 11 years, is just about to make a comeback - and we know the exact date they'll be back. The white chocolate version of these airy and crunchy chocolate bites was first launched in 2003. Instantly becoming a fan favourite, they were sadly discontinued in 2014, causing many fans to be left distraught. Over the past few years, there has been a surge in public demand for the treat to make a comeback, with some shoppers saying "bring back white Maltesers", while others have said, "will never understand why they stopped doing white Maltesers they were 10/10." Well, it looks like prayers have been answered, as Mars Wrigley has officially confirmed that its beloved treat will officially be making a comeback, with White Maltesers returning to large and independent stores from June 16, 2025. The confectionary giant, which also owns other beloved snacks such as Galaxy, M&Ms and Twix, has said that its popular snack will be back in single and sharing formats, although the price has yet to be confirmed. White Maltesers mixes the iconic crunchy centre that consumers know and love, but instead of the classic milk chocolate, the classic bite-size treats are covered in a layer of white chocolate. Some fans who have heard the news of the beloved snack's return have taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their enthusiasm at the grand return, as one wrote: "This had better be true. White Maltesers making a comeback June/July time." Another delighted shopper said: "I hope they are not messing with me… WHITE CHOCOLATE MALTESERS they were my fave and been dreaming of this day." While another delighted fan wrote: "If white Maltesers are really coming back then I'm going to cry with joy." Speaking on the return of the treat, a spokesperson from Mars Wrigley said: "We're delighted to bring Maltesers White Chocolate back for the passionate fans who have been anticipating their return for years! "Maltesers is all about encouraging people to look on the light side of life and so definitely try them if you've not done so before." If the imminent return of white Malteasers has chocoholics counting down the days, then picking up the classic version of the treat might help satisfy their cravings. Right now on Amazon, a case of 40 bags (37g) of Malteasers is £32.98. That works out at just 82p per bag for the fan favourite snack. White Malteasers are not the only iconic treat to make a comeback this year, after Mars Wrigley also brought back the nostalgic Milky Way Crispy Rolls in February. A beloved staple by many, the chocolate snack went on a long three year hiatus, leading to many fans to sign a petition demanding their return - and they officially came back in early February with two new flavours. A Mars Wrigley spokesperson said at the time: 'We never anticipated just how passionate the response would be when Milky Way Crispy Rolls were discontinued. It became clear that this iconic treat holds a special place in people's hearts, and we knew we had to bring it back!' Meanwhile, the White Maltesers will make their comeback to shelves from June 16.

Major supermarket slashes boxes of Celebrations down to just £1.50 – and shoppers are already stocking up for Christmas
SHOPPERS are scrambling to get to a major supermarket as boxes of chocolates have been slashed. So if your purse is feeling tighter than ever before and you're on a mission to cut costs where possible, we've found just the thing. 2 A popular supermarket has slashed boxes of Celebrations to less than £2 Credit: Facebook/Bargain Lovers And you've got a sweet tooth and fancy stocking your cupboards with tasty snacks, then you'll need to check this out. One chocolate fan was left open-mouthed when browsing in her local supermarket, when she noticed that boxes of Celebrations had been massively reduced. Thrilled with her find, which Cathy Pennington spotted in a Tesco store in Altrincham, the bargain hunter took to social media to alert others, leaving many open-mouthed. Posting on BARGAIN LOVERS Poundland, Home Bargains, B&M, Primark, The Range & More, a public Facebook group with 805,900 members, Cathy shared a snap of the cheap treats, which many of us can't get enough of during the festive season. Alongside her post, she simply beamed: 'Tesco £1.50.' The 300g variety boxes of chocolates were once priced at £5.35, but have since been slashed down to only £1.50. In this large box, you'll find all of the iconic favourites - Snickers, Twix, Mars, Malteasers, Milky Way, Bounty, Galaxy and Galaxy Caramel. The milk chocolate treats are still marked at £5.35 online, but if you fancy saving £3.85, then you'll need to move fast. The yellow sticker deal is being sold while stocks last, so you'll have to head down to your local store as quickly as you can to nab this bargain. Cathy's post has clearly impressed many, as it has quickly amassed 237 likes and 32 comments. Chocolate fans rushing to buy Tony's Chocolonely dupe from major supermarket Not only were shoppers impressed with the hefty reduction, but others were tempted to stock up for Christmas - yes, you heard that correctly. One person said: 'That's Christmas sorted.' How to save money on chocolate We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar. Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs... Go own brand - if you're not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you'll save by going for the supermarket's own brand bars. Shop around - if you've spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it's cheaper elsewhere. Websites like let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you're getting the best deal. Look out for yellow stickers - supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they've been reduced. They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged. Buy bigger bars - most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar. So if you've got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger. Another added: 'Beautiful.' A third commented: 'Very nice.' That's Christmas sorted Facebook user Meanwhile, one foodie tagged a loved one and penned: "You missed these." Despite this, at the same time, someone else wrote: 'Probably next week will be expired.' But in response to this, Cathy confidently wrote back and beamed: "Getting eaten tonight anyway.' Best Easter eggs to crack into in 2025, taste-tested by chocoholics
For chocoholics (like us), Easter is the best time of the year for being able to gorge on chocolate and feel zero guilt about it. Not all chocolate is made equal, though. So, we've been on the hunt for the very best Easter eggs this year, from indulgent and luxurious eggs from independent artisanal brands to Easter classics such as Malteasers bunnies to budget supermarket buys and everything in between. This year, we've noticed plenty of pistachio flavours making a return (after becoming a popular pick last year), as well as flat eggs, which are essentially generously sized egg-shaped slabs of chocolate – what's not to love? We've also seen deliciously indulgent filled half eggs covered in caramel and biscuits, as well as layered eggs cleverly enclosing a thin layer of caramel in the shell of the egg – it's nothing short of genius. Plus, there are more free-from options than ever, which is great news for those with food allergies and intolerances. Sound good? Read on for our full review of the best Easter eggs for 2025. How we tested We searched high and low, from our go-to high street supermarkets to independent chocolate-makers and luxurious department stores. We ate a lot of chocolate and enlisted the help of some other equally chocolate-obsessed testers. We were looking for quality eggs with good flavour, decent thickness, a dedication to the removal of plastic packaging, and, of course, good value for money. Why you can trust us Writer and editor Emma Henderson has previously been editor of IndyEats and IndyBest. She has a wealth of knowledge about food, brands and exactly what to look for when it comes to assessing food and drink products. She's reviewed everything from independent coffee brands to chocolate gift boxes but, beyond food, sustainability is one of Emma's interests. For this review, she taste-tested a range of Easter treats, while noting how the chocolate was sourced and scrutinising the choice of packaging. The best Easter eggs for 2025 are:
