Two injured in shooting at Mamou Mardi Gras celebration Monday night
MAMOU, La. () – 2 people were injured Monday night at a Mamou Mardi Gras celebration concert.
The shooting happened just after 10pm during the concert. Organizers of the event told KLFY News that 2 people were shot at during a fight. Both were taken to a local hospital with minor injuiries.
Organizers say the shut down the concert and party immediately following the shooting.
We've reached out to Mamou Police for more information into the investigation. We will update this story when more information is released.
