Arshiya Sharma gets real about portraying a rebellious kid in ‘Mangal Lakshmi'

Every household has that one spirited child who tests every boundary—and in ' Mangal Lakshmi ', that firecracker is portrayed by the talented Arshiya Sharma . As Mangal's daughter, she's the classic rebel: quick to speak her mind, reluctant to show gratitude, and always a step away from causing fresh drama. While Mangal fights daily battles to protect and nurture her children, her daughter often becomes her most unexpected challenge. What makes Arshiya's portrayal striking is the emotional complexity she brings to the screen at such a young age. Her character comes across as difficult or demanding, but Arshiya plays her with realism and restraint—making sure viewers see more than just the tantrums. Off screen, however, Arshiya is a completely different person. Operation Sindoor 'Decided to strike where it would hurt': Air Marshal on Op Sindoor Op Sindoor: IC-814 hijackers, Pulwama plotters among over 100 terrorists killed 'Pak Army lost 35 to 40 personnel': Takeaways from armed forces' briefing on Op Sindoor Joyful, grounded, and incredibly focused, she balances her studies, shooting schedule, and dance routines like a total pro—bringing discipline to a role that thrives on chaos. Speaking about her role Arshiya shares, 'I've never spoken to my mom the way my character does in the show, so slipping into that mindset took effort. I started observing how kids behave when they feel frustrated or left out—how they talk, how they act—and I try to bring those small things into my scenes. I rehearse my lines in advance and work on understanding what my character is truly feeling in each situation. The team helps me prepare emotionally and gives me great advice on how to improve. In real life, I'm cheerful and respectful—I love dancing, and I make time for my studies even after shooting. Playing this role has really boosted my confidence, teaching me to empathise with the character rather than moralising it.' Mangal Secrets Revealed! Diya Aur Baati actor Deepika Singh on her recent health scare: Improving and feeling much better

On May 1, actor Deepika Singh was rushed to a hospital after she lost consciousness. She shared the news of her hospitalisation on Instagram, which lead to speculations that she fainted due to excessive heat while shooting for her TV show Mangal Lakshmi. Deepika reveals was feeling weak and dizzy and it was later diagnosed that she was suffering from low blood pressure. When contacted, Diya Aur Baati (2011) actor shares, 'First of all, I didn't faint on the set of my show. I was at home where I felt uneasy and fell unconscious. That day my sodium level dropped drastically leading to the health scare. I want to reiterate that the incident didn't happen on the set while shooting, which was reported by many on social media.' Deepika adds, she was on a day's break when she had an acidity bout, eventually leading to other health issues. She clarifies she was hospitalised for a few hours and administered drip by her family doctor. The actor is already back on set and shooting, 'but not doing lengthy scenes yet'. She says, 'We all have certain health issues which have nothing to do with the rising temperature or heat. Also, low blood pressure does take time to recover; it takes a few days. I always want to be energetic and give it my all while shooting. I wanted to resume work because, as actors, it's our job to complete what's in hand on time. Also, being on set is something that keeps me happy. Now, I am back to work but obviously taking a few precaution and total care of myself." The actor made a comeback on television last year with her show Mangal Lakshmi after a decade. Deepika called the ten-year hiatus from the small screen a phase of learning and rejuvenation.
