West coast Express to start from Mangaluru Junction
The Mangaluru Central-MGR Chennai Central West Coast Express (Train No. 22638) of April 23, Wednesday, scheduled to depart Central at 11.45 pm, will commence its journey from Mangaluru Junction at 1 am (past midnight) on April 24.
This change in originating station was to facilitate line and power block between Mangaluru Central and Netravathi Cabin from 11.10 pm of April 23 to 4.10 am of April 24 for the removal of girder inserted beneath the Mangaluru Central-Shoranur down line. The girder was inserted to push concrete boxes for the ongoing twin Railway Under Bridge project at Mahakalipadpu in the City, said a notification from the Railways.
