Large fire in Manning destroys commercial building
MANNING, Iowa — A large fire broke out at Arrow Pallets in Manning Sunday evening.
At around 5:58 p.m. the Manning Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at the Arrow Pallets facility in the 800 block of Front street, the City of Manning said in a Facebook post. When firefighters arrived at the scene they found a large building on fire.
Marshalltown skimming suspect charged in Newton case
According to the city, firefighters from ten departments were called in to help battle the flames. The firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings, but the building where the fire started was considered a total loss.
No one was inside the building and no injuries were reported, the city said.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
