Khandwa woman's gangrape & murder: Autopsy reveals extreme brutality inflicted on victim
Indore: Shocking details from the autopsy of the tribal woman who was gangraped have emerged, revealing the extent of the brutality she suffered.
According to the preliminary postmortem examination report received on Monday, approximately 176 inches of her small intestine had protruded through her vaginal opening due to the severe internal trauma inflicted on her.
Police sources confirmed that the report mentioned a tear in the peritoneum along with the presence of multiple internal blood clots. Although her uterus and rectum were found to be intact, the pouch of Douglas—a protective membrane covering the organs —was ruptured, which led to the intestines exiting the body through the vaginal tract.
A senior doctor in Indore, speaking to TOI explained that such injuries suggest massive trauma and intestinal obstruction.
In such cases, immediate surgical intervention is critical.
The lack of medical treatment likely caused the woman to suffer repeated episodes of hypovolemic shock—a life-threatening condition caused by a significant loss of blood, leading to insufficient circulation to vital organs.
The report also stated that the victim had lost at least one litre of blood and indicated that the tear was so extensive and deep that the intestines were displaced and lacked the structural support to remain within the body.
