Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon introduces new challenges for 2026
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Registration is open for the 2026 Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon, and organizers are introducing two new challenges for 2026.
The full marathon, half-marathon, wheelchair and handcycle races, four-person relays, a 5K and the Covenant Kids Run are scheduled for April 11-12, 2026. Participants can also sign up for the Knox Hills Challenge or the Marble City Challenge.

The Knox Hills Challenge includes the Saturday 5K and the Sunday Marathon, while the Marble City Challenge includes the Saturday 5K and the Sunday Half Marathon. Both challenges include an extra medal and swag item for finishers. However, registration is limited to 150 for the Knox Hills Challenge and 300 for the Marble City Challenge.
Organizers have also brought back the virtual option for 2026. Virtual participants will receive a t-shirt, medal and goody bag, and they can submit their time online on a separate page from in-person competitors.

Marathon: $85.94
Half marathon: $70.22
Four-person relay: $47.40
5K: $33.40
Kid's Run: $22.75
Knox Hills Challenge: $125.76
Marble City Challenge: $110.04
