Meloni Wants Another Cut to Italy's Payroll Taxes in Next Budget
Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni's government wants to ease the burden on middle-class earnings with another giveaway in the coming year, according to the economics chief of her political party. The prime minister aims to reduce the so-called tax wedge — the difference between what workers cost employers and what gets paid out to them — down to 33% for incomes between €28,000 ($31,420) and €60,000, Marco Osnato said in an interview in Rome on Wednesday.
