Hartford man charged with narcotics violations after traffic stop in Vernon
VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — A Hartford man was arrested after a traffic stop allegedly revealed narcotics on Friday.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., police observed a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Marcus Richards with dark tints and only one license plate displayed in the area of 51 Hartford Turnpike.

Richards was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operation of a drug factory, interfering with an officer and failure to display license plates.
Upon stopping the vehicle, police allege they witnessed a digital scale, commonly used in drug trafficking.
Richards allegedly had prior drug-related arrests.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed the following:
132 wax folds of fentanyl
Over eight grams of fentanyl
79.7 grams of cocaine
$4,675 in cash
