Victor died surrounded by family at her home in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on the evening of Friday, May 30, according to her talent agency, per Deadline. Her cause of death was lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.
'Renee is perhaps best known as the voice of Abuelita in Disney's 2017 blockbuster Coco,' wrote her daughters, Raquel Victor and Margo Victor, in a statement, per the outlet. 'Renee was loved by so many & had fans all over the world. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.'
PEOPLE reached out to Victor's reps for comment on May 31, but did not receive an immediate response.

Victor was born in San Antonio, but left Texas in the 1960s to pursue an entertainment career in Los Angeles, per Variety. She had early singing gigs in the music business and taught salsa and tango on the side.
In addition to onscreen roles in shows like ER and The Tony Danza Show, Victor carved out a consistent career in voiceover acting.
Her voice has appeared in cartoons and video games — most recently in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, which came out in April.
