Athlete of the Week: Avery Eden
MARIONVILLE–This week's Athlete of the Week is Avery Eden. Eden is a sophomore on the Marionville High School track and field team. Two weeks ago, Eden swept the Soutwest Conference meet by winning 100 meter and 200 meter dash, also anchoring 4×100 and 4×200 relay. She also swept the same four events at the Class 2 District 6 meet at Southwest Baptist University. Eden will compete at the state competition this week in the 100m Dash for Class 2, after she placed 1st at Regionals with a time of 13.24 Do you have an Athlete of the Week nomination? Athlete of the Week: Annaliyah Ghan
MARIONVILLE–This week's Athlete of the Week is Annaliyah Ghan. Ghan is a junior on the Marionville High School softball team. This Spring, Ghan has been tearing up opposing pitching. In the last week-and-a-half, Ghan has it four home runs. Including, two in the team's game against Exeter. In total, she was responsible for five of the team's 14 runs in the victory. And thanks to her efforts at the plate, the Comets are averaging 10 runs per contest, which is something it's only done once in the last 10 seasons. Do you have an Athlete of the Week nomination?
