Mirabito donates $60k to fight local food insecurity
(WIVT/WBGH) – Mirabito Energy Products has announced the results of its latest fundraising campaign.
During the month of March, the Mirabito Cares Round Up campaign raised $60,000 to support local food banks and fight food insecurity in the communities it serves.
Throughout the month, customers at all 109 Mirabito Convenience Store locations wereinvited to round up their purchases at checkout. Proceeds from the campaign benefited the Food Bank of Central New York, the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, and the RegionalFood Bank of Northeastern New York. Each organization received $20,000.
'We are so incredibly grateful for the partnership with Mirabito and the generosity of their customers. This fundraiser makes a difference for parents, children, families, and older adults,' said Mark Bordeau, President and CEO of the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
The Food Bank of the Southern Tier benefits families and individuals in need in Broome, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties.
