Morrisons Closes Meat Counters, Cafes as UK Grocers Cut Costs

Morrisons will close services including cafes and meat counters at some of its supermarkets, putting 365 roles at risk as the British grocer battles rising costs. All 18 of its Market Kitchen food takeaway and delivery counters — first rolled out in 2018 — will close, the supermarket said Monday. A total of 52 cafes, 35 meat counters, 35 fish counters, 13 florists and four pharmacies will also shut.
