The new managers will be Hall of Famer Chipper Jones who will lead the NL team, and All-Star title holder Marquis Grissom , who is set to manage the AL team. Both managers have years of experience in the field of baseball, and will be joined by other legendary players in the dugouts. Chipper Jones and Marquis Grissom to lead NL and AL teams The All-Star Futures games are a baseball match that takes place every year, and prospects from the American League (AL) and National League (NL) take part in. The game is played in the NL vs AL perspective, and gives the prospects a chance to showcase their talent in the field that will further impact their selection in various clubs. Jones and Grissom have been given the responsibility of handling both teams, and it is a big responsibility. Both the players were formerly in the Atlanta Braves, even though Grissom only joined for one season, they did share the same field. As per reports, players like Fred McGriff, Dale Murphy, Andruw Jones, Tim Hudson, and Ryan Klesko will appear in the staff list of both teams. But which former player is joining which dugout? As per reports, the NL team will have Mark DeRosa as their bench coach and Andruw Jones as hitting coach. Tim Hudson is said to join the NL team as their pitching coach, whereas Tyler Flowers will be the team's 1B coach. For 3B, the team has appointed Kanekoa Texeira as the coach. The AL team has also appointed some pretty good coaches for the team. Joining Grissom will be Jerry Manuel as the bench coach, Fred McGriff as hitting coach, and Marvin Freeman as pitching coach. For the bases, there's Dale Murphy as 1B coach, and Brian Hunter as 3B coach. May 19 - Atlanta Braves greats Chipper Jones and Marquis Grissom were named managers for the 2025 All-Star Futures Game on Monday. The Hall of Famer Jones will manage the National League minor leaguers and will be opposed by two-time All-Star Grissom on the American League side. The seven-inning game will be played on July 12 in Atlanta. Joining Jones as coaches will be former Braves Mark DeRosa (bench coach), Andruw Jones (hitting coach) and Tim Hudson (pitching coach), among others. Grissom's coaches include Jerry Manuel (bench coach), Fred McGriff (hitting coach) and Dale Murphy (first base coach). The 26th edition of the Futures Game features the top minor league prospects competing as part of All-Star Saturday. Jones will head the NL team and Grissom the AL team, Major League Baseball said Monday. Players for the game are drawn from affiliates of the 30 MLB clubs. Jones was an eight-time All-Star third baseman who spent his entire career with Atlanta, hitting .303 with 468 homers and 1,623 RBIs from 1993-2012. He won a World Series title in 1995 and earned election to the Hall of Fame on his first ballot appearance in 2018. Grissom spent the 1995 and 1996 seasons with the Braves, also earning a World Series ring. He was a two-time All-Star outfielder, hitting .272 with 227 homers and 967 RBIs for Montreal (1989-94), Atlanta (1995-96), Cleveland (1997), Milwaukee (1998-2000), the Los Angeles Dodgers (2001-02) and San Francisco (2003-05). Jones' coaches include Mark DeRosa (bench), Andruw Jones (hitting), Tim Hudson (pitching), Tyler Flowers (first base), Kanekoa Texeira (third base), Mick Markakis (general coach) and Peter Moylan (bullpen).
