Grammy-winning artists coming to Marshall for acoustic performance

MARSHALL, Tx. (KTAL/KMSS) – Grammy-winning artists Linda Davis and Lang Scott along with songwriter-comedian Bill Whyte will present Evening in the Round at the Memorial City Hall Performance Center in March. The artists will perform acoustic versions of their hits and share the history behind them while interacting with the audience in an intimate setting. Baroque by Candlelight to be performed by Marshall Symphony Orchestra Linda Davis is a three-time Grammy winner and member of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame. Lang Scott is a two-time Grammy winning musician and husband to Linda Davis. Bill Whyte is a Country Music award winner and Country Radio Broadcast Hall of Fame member. The concert will start at 7:30 p.m. on March 8 at the Memorial City Hall Performance Center, 110 E. Houston Street in Marshall. Tickets are on sale now at MCH. Marshall Symphony Orchestra performance on March 1: Go for Baroque

MARSHALL, Texas (KTAL/KMSS) – The Marshall Symphony Orchestra will present a romantic evening that features music by a handful of famous Baroque composers. The 'Go for Baroque' concert will highlight hits by Vivaldi, Bach, Telemann, Pachelbel, and more in the Memorial City Hall Performance Center on Mar. 1 at 7:00 p.m. The glow of hundreds of candles will surround attendees as they sip on champagne, mocktails, and mixed drinks. Chocolates will also be served. The Marshall Symphony Orchestra is one of the oldest Texas symphonies. Kermit Poling directs the symphony. Elizabeth O'Bannon will be the Concert Master.
