AL NAHDA HIT SOHAR FOR A SIX Al Nahda recorded a sweeping 6-0 victory over Sohar at Al Buraimi Sports Complex. Al Nahda entered the match strongly, completely dominating the midfield, relying on wing play and penetrating attacks through the centre. Their early pressure paid off with three well-deserved goals: Ahmed al Matrooshi opened the scoring in the 10th minute, Abdulaziz al Shammasi added the second in the 15th minute and Winda netted the third in the 39th minute. In contrast, Sohar tried to match Al Nahda's pace by playing through the flanks, but their passes lacked precision, making it easy for Al Nahda's defence to intercept and close down spaces. Four minutes of injury time were added, but the score remained unchanged, with Al Nahda leading 3-0 at half-time. In the second half, Al Nahda continued to dominate the match amid a clear decline in Sohar's performance, who struggled to keep up with the pace. Al Nahda took advantage of this and continued their goal fest, with Winda scoring the fourth goal in the 55th minute. Near the end of the match, Mohammed al Ghafri further boosted Al Nahda's lead by scoring two quick goals in the 89th and 93rd minutes, sealing an emphatic victory. With this win, Al Nahda raised their total to 43 points, maintaining their hold on second place in the league standings, while Sohar remained stuck at 21 points in ninth place. Despite multiple efforts, the first half ended in a goalless draw. In the second half, Al Rustaq continued their offensive pressure, and Ammar al Shiyadi managed to score the only goal of the match in the 65th minute with a powerful strike into the net. Al Khabourah attempted to equalise through varied attacking plays, but Al Rustaq's defence held firm until the final whistle. With this victory, Al Rustaq climbed to seventh place with 23 points, while Al Khabourah remained at 25 points in fifth place.
