Island author event promises 'murder' and intrigue
The typically quiet Lord Louis Library is preparing for a night of suspense in March.
On Tuesday, March 11, the library will host three well-known Isle of Wight crime writers for an evening of literary intrigue.
The event, named Plotting a Murder, will see authors Anna Britton, Mary Grand and Sue Shepherd delve into the secrets of their popular novels.
Mary Grand is set to discuss her successful whodunnit tales like A Seaside Murder and A Christmas Murder, which are known for their clever plots set on the Isle of Wight.

Her debut, Shot in the Dark, has already gained a following.
Sue Shepherd, praised for her Sandlin PI series, will reveal her process for creating suspenseful narratives.
Councillor Julie Jones-Evans said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to engage with talented local authors and gain a deeper appreciation for the art of crime writing."
The event will start at 7pm, with tickets available for £3 each from the library.
Medina Bookshop will be present to sell the authors' novels and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Lord Louis Library.
