My only complaint is it's so cozy I've been having a hard time getting out of bed in the morning! ' — Dani 13. A flat duster so you can finally clean those hard-to-reach places you last dusted *check notes* oh, yeah, never. Wayfair 14. And a donut-shaped ceiling fan duster because your ceiling fan is gonna be working overtime once the warm weather sticks so it deserves some extra TLC. Wayfair 15. A baker's rack so you finally have enough room for all of the baking equipment you bought after watching one episode of The Great British Baking Show and have decided you want to spend your own spring and summer baking in a tent (or, in this case, your kitchen). So glad we replaced our gas grill with this griddle. It is shorter than a gas grill but perfect height for cooking. The Wayfair special has a rack and cover — excellent value." — Stephanie 21. A botanical-patterned shower curtain to add a floral touch to your bathroom. It's especially good for those who don't want real plants in their bathroom because their green thumb is nonexistent. They go very well together without matching. They're very shiny, have felt pads on the bottom (to not scratch furniture), and look pretty. I would recommend!" — Lily Price: $36.99+ (originally $53.50, available in three colors) Reviews have been edited for length and/or clarity.

30 Wayfair Products That Will Help You Refresh Your Home After Hibernation Season

We hope you love our recommendations! Some may have been sent as samples, but all were independently selected by our editors. Just FYI, BuzzFeed and its publishing partners may collect a share of sales and/or other compensation from the links on this page. A new season refresh is calling your name. 1. A swirly rainbow-colored rug because you've seen enough gray this winter, so it's time to inject a bold explosion of colors into your neutral-toned home. 🌈 Wayfair 2. A color-changing LED lamp so you can switch up the hue depending on your ~mood.~ There are millions of color combos to choose from, but if you're anything like me, you'll use the same three on rotation. Wayfair Promising review:"I love how many ways I can change the color depending upon my mood! I normally keep it on a warm white and like how it gives me indirect light, it was packaged well and easily put together, it also has a floor button at the half point on the electrical cord, which ended up reaching the middle of my headboard, I most definitely give this lamp a thumbs up!" — Cindy 3. A floral doormat that says you're ready to come out of your antisocial cocoon and are in the mood to have guests over. Wayfair Promising reviews:"I have had this doormat for a couple of years and it is just as colorful as when it was new. It has held up well, with no shedding or mildew." — Mary Jo "Very pretty and functional doormat. Looks just like the photo – dressy, but not too "goopy." Would look very pretty with my lavender summertime wreath!" — Geraldine 4. A shower curtain with a monkey using a blow-dryer because, like you, the adorable little monkey is blowing away the cobwebs after a long, long winter and is getting ready for a season of sun. Wayfair 5. An iridescent window film to give you some privacy while refracting a glistening rainbow into your space. It'll look great in any room of the house, and if you don't fancy putting it on your windows, it works just as well on glass doors and cabinets. Promising review:"The film is so perfect for my windows. Our house faces a busy road that allows car passengers to look directly into our rooms. We wanted the light to come in, and the film not only does that but creates a unique color effect with the changing sunlight." — Anita Mae Platt 6. A faux olive tree that will transport you straight to a Greek garden and might even convince you to book your dream vacation every time you look at it. Wayfair 7. A set of six rainbow whiskey glasses so you can sip your favorite beverage in a kaleidoscope of colors. You spent the first three months of the year drinking exclusively hot toddies, but now it's time for your favorite tipple on the rocks. Wayfair 8. A roll of tropical peel-and-stick wallpaper because you deserve to feel like you're on an island getaway every day. Use it to create an eye-catching accent wall or even revamp your old furniture with it. Promising review:"Super happy to have gotten this beautiful banana wallpaper! It literally pops out!! After putting it up, it complemented the entire living room on a whole new level. I didn't expect it to look this good, but looking at it, I keep falling more and more in love!! It gives such tropical vibes. We are super ecstatic. If you're looking to go outside your comfort zone, this is a great piece to have up. It will not disappoint!!" — Neshat 9. A vibrant trinket dish to hold all your bits and bobs — I'm talkin' keys, sunglasses, hair ties, bobby pins, jewelry — and look darn good while doing it. It may be a small decor item, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for big time in its eclectic and ~wild~ style. Wayfair 10. An eclectic pouf that will bring life to even the most neutral of living spaces. In fact, it'll look so good that your beige couch might get a lil' jealous of all the attention this funky, bright pouf will get. 11. A canvas print triptych because it makes up one big beaming sun that's sure to put a smile on your face. They'll add a burst of color to your space, and no matter the weather outside, you can guarantee that it's always sunny in your home. Wayfair 12. A set of charming gingham cafe curtains to give your windows the ultimate, well, window treatment. Just play Taylor Swift's Folklore album on repeat, and you're basically living in a cottagecore dream. 13. A colorful and unique wall print that'll turn your home into a statement art gallery. Is this reason enough to start charging your guests an entry fee? I think so. 🤑 Wayfair Promising review:"The canvas is in a room of neutral color. I used this print to add a splash of color to build off of. The coloring is vibrant. I am extremely pleased with the look." — Darryl 14. An air purifier so you can breathe easier and banish the musty vibes of your winter hibernation season now that you've unraveled from your blanket cave. Anonymous/Wayfair 15. A lightweight stick vacuum cleaner because a deep clean is the perfect way to officially transition your home from a hunker-down zone to a springtime haven. Wayfair Promising review:"This little stick lightweight vacuum is a powerhouse! It has such a powerful sucking action! I use it on all floor surfaces, and it picks up everything! Truly the best vacuum I've brought this far!" — Susan 16. A bright and bold loveseat to bring in a burst of color. It's got a sleek mid-century modern silhouette and flared legs for a retro finish — plus, it comes in 13 colors, so you're bound to find one you love. Promising review:"This is a fabulous piece of furniture. It has a nod of nostalgia and is so retro-looking. The fabric and color are awesome. The comfort is fantastic. It has a solid feel to it. We absolutely love it!!!! It is perfect for our sunny Florida decor. I am now looking for some cool pillows to add to it." — Deena 17. An outdoor rug that will give your patio a pop of vibrant color. It's stain and fade-resistant and can also be used inside once patio season ends. Wayfair Promising review:"Absolutely in love with this rug! Complements our furniture perfectly. Stands up well to the elements and easy to clean up spills etc. Love love love this rug!" — Connie 18. A pair of Acapulco chairs for giving your yard some vibrant springtime color — you can choose from five stylish hues. Affordable, comfortable, stylish, and easy to maintain. They look great in an awkward corner of my patio, and are so easy to keep clean! I just hose them off and they're perfect!" — Jeremy 19. A multicolored throw blanket destined to become your literal comfort blanket thanks to its soft and cozy feel. It's best enjoyed while watching your favorite TV show or reading a gripping book. Wayfair 20. A retro-style microwave for making your limited counter space burst with shades of serotonin. Promising reviews:" Looks great, works well, just what I wanted and exactly as described. When my bigger 1,000-watt microwave broke, I thought about what I really used it for, thawing and rewarming, and decided I would be happier with a smaller oven that takes up less counter space." — Anonymous " It actually looks BETTER in PERSON!! The candy apple red POPS and although it has a retro style look, it's a MODERN microwave with great features! Highly recommended!!" — Danyell 21. A bright yellow velvet office chair so you can swivel away from all those beige problems. Promising review:"Love it! Soft and easy to assemble. My mom has one as well that she purchased in 2020 and it's still holding up so I decided to get one." — Kaitlyn 22. A faux floral arrangement to make your home look blooming lovely by adding the look of fresh cut flowers to welcome in spring. Wayfair 23. A cotton bath mat reviewers love for its washability and instant mood boosting abilities. Wayfair Promising review:"Cute bath mat. It has held up to constant use and many washing. I think I have been using it for a year and a half now and I see no damage to it." — Sherri 24. A set of bistro lights that will brighten up your patio as you prepare to spend the next six months outdoors. Walmart Promising review: 'Super easy do install. Great price and aesthetic. How does Chase Field's political drama compare with other states? We asked an expert

The Arizona Diamondbacks have been trying to revamp Chase Field for years now. So far, that journey has left them without the proper funds to renovate the 27-year-old stadium. On the to-do list is fixing the retractable roof, which team officials can't open with people in the stadium because of the risk factor. Upgrades to the HVAC system, widening the concourses and a new premium section are on the list as well. This year, they're betting on a public-private partnership deal introduced by state Rep. Jeff Weninger. The Chandler Republican introduced House Bill 2704 that would redirect the sales and income tax generated by the team to an improvement fund. The bill passed the House on a bipartisan vote, but on Monday, a Senate committee approved an amendment. The new version removes a provision that would have redirected income taxes generated by the team and its staff to the stadium, meaning those dollars would continue to go to state, county and city coffers. It proposes a 50-50 split between Phoenix and Maricopa County to provide as much as $500 million a year from the sales taxes collected at the stadium – a change that prompted the county to oppose the bill. This week on The Gaggle, a politics podcast by The Arizona Republic and hosts Ron Hansen and Mary Jo Pitzl are joined by Bret McCormick. He's a beat writer for the Sports Business Journal covering fan experiences, ticketing and sports facilities. Bret talks with Ron and Mary Jo about the reality of the Diamondbacks ballpark situation and how Arizona compares to other states in similar positions. Later in the episode, Ron and Mary Jo break down the bipartisan support — and bipartisan opposition — the bill is finding in the Legislature. NCIS: Origins' Tyla Abercrumbie Tees Up Heart-Tugging Mary Jo Reveals: ‘There Was a Lot That Surprised Me'

'You know, you're not alone. I have my own…' Five months ago, NCIS: Origins viewers were left hanging with that incomplete thought, wondering what Field Operation Support Officer Mary Jo Hayes was about to say next after probie Leroy Jethro Gibbs made clear that the loss of his daughter was too fresh for him to help watch over a young girl. More from TVLine Happy's Place EP: Steve Howey Nearly Played Gabby's Sperm Donor - Here's Why That Idea Got Tossed Elsbeth Season 2 Finale to Feature Nine (!) Returning Guest Stars NCIS' Returning Character Revealed! LL COOL J to Guest-Star in Season 22 When CBS' already-renewed freshman drama resumes its season this Monday at 10/9c, you will get that answer — though it may not be quite what you predicted, and it is delivered in a wonderful episode that also illustrates exactly all that Mary Jo does at NIS, and how her work has incredible ripple effects. TVLine spoke with Tyla Abercrumbie about finally getting to shed light on the NIS Camp Pendleton office's 'HSIC' (Head Secretary in Charge). TVLINE | It's been a minute since Episode 4, where we got this half of a half of a hint that Mary Jo has something in common with Gibbs. Is it finally time to learn some things about the 'HSIC'?Yeah, it has been a while! And it's nice because, like you said, it was a little hint dropped that most people probably forgot about it, and then you get to this episode and you're like, 'Oh, now I see.' TVLINE | Had you been asking the showrunners, 'When's it all going to come out?'I actually knew when it was going to come out; they told me that it wouldn't air until around March Madness. Now, as a person that doesn't follow March Madness, I was like, 'Well, when is that?' [Laughs] TVLINE | What sets in motion this Mary Jo-centric episode?Well, she has been taking care of everyone else and kind of moving through her life — I think of her as very optimistic and loving the life she's built for herself — when these papers arrive for her, bringing the past forward. You see her be thrown back into a reality. We can forget, sometimes, that there are things lingering out there, unresolved, because we focus so much on others' problems, and that's what Mary Jo does. She focuses on helping other people get through whatever they're trying to get through, so she can avoid thinking about her own problems. TVLINE | Had you been fully debriefed on what her backstory would be? Or was there anything in this script that surprised you a bit? There was a lot that surprised me in this script. And no, I hadn't been debriefed on the backstory, but I did have a really wonderful couple of conversations with [showrunners] Gina and David, where we talked about what we wanted to do with Mary Jo and what I wanted to see in this character. You don't always get such a luxury, because people have their ideas and you just show up and say the words, but this was a really nice collaboration. We did talk about things that we wanted, I wanted, for her. I wanted to show that she had family and friends that were from her world that reflected her, meaning from the African American, Black, community that she has outside of work. TVLINE | Yeah, we get a glimpse of a dinner party she and we get to see Hattie [Hoskins] from Episode 4, who plays Millie. You see that she's building community, that people don't just leave her life but become her family. I also wanted to deal with giving her real issues that are outside of [the office] and the victims of crimes, that she had something else. They took that and ran with it. TVLINE | A lot of Mary Jo's workplace dynamics have focused on her and Franks (Kyle Schmid), and to be sure, it's a wonderful thing they have going. But were you excited, in this episode, to really get some scenes with Mariel [Molino's Lala] and Diany [Rodriguez's Vera]?I was, and we all said that. We were like, 'We want more of these, where the girls just connect and bond as women and coworkers.' It was really nice because I'd watched them work, I admire their work. They're both so talented, and they really helped, in my scene with them, to move the moment emotionally forward because I now know them as people, and not just as characters. You always hope your scene partner is listening while you're talking, you're listening while they're talking, but when you know the people you're working with and you feel that honest energy, it's really nice. And it showed. TVLINE | Meanwhile, Mary Jo's scenes with her assistant secretaries are like the comic relief of the episode….They are! I love those two characters because they're there and you don't really see much of them, and so they create this comic relief. But at the same time, you see Mary Jo kind of in charge of two tiers of people. You've got the agents who are independent of her and doing something totally different, but then you have these young ladies who will probably run an office someday. TVLINE | Is this another episode that tugs at the heart? It tugs at the heart a couple times, for a couple reasons. Not only is it written and performed lovely, but it's also for anyone who has been enjoying Mary Jo and her quips and seeing her as this really, really cool character, but wanting to know more about her, because they've fallen in love with her, I believe. I hope they love me! And I think that with anybody you care for, when you see them go through something, that emotion tugs at your heart. So, yeah, I believe this episode is going to do that to a lot of of TVLine Yellowjackets' Tawny Cypress Talks Episode 4's Tai/Van Reunion: 'We're All Worried About Taissa' Vampire Diaries Turns 10: How Real-Life Plot Twists Shaped Everything From the Love Triangle to the Final Death Vampire Diaries' Biggest Twists Revisited (and Explained)

Thomas M. Pokabla, Youngstown, Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – We come together to celebrate the life and mourn the loss of Dr. Thomas M. Pokabla, who passed away at the Cleveland Clinic, surrounded by loved ones on the morning of Monday, March 3, 2025. After a brief illness, he transitioned from this world to Heaven on his own time and in his own way – one final last directive from Tom. Tom was born right here in Youngstown on September 2, 1939 to Anna Kutlick and Michael 'Cobbs' Pokabla. Find obituaries from your high school He spent the rest of his years here in Youngstown after meeting his life-long love, Mary Josephine Anne Brannan. The doctor and the beautiful nurse. It was fate and a match making patient that brought the two together. They married on June 22, 1968 and were together until he passed, still holding hands as they did for 56 years of marriage. Tom was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School where he is a member of the Woodrow Wilson Hall of Fame. He also graduated from Youngstown College, working at times 2-3 jobs to support himself through. He then went on to podiatry school at The Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine after a chance encounter with a local podiatrist who peaked his interest in podiatric medicine. Tom practiced medicine in Howland, Ohio for over 50 years in the same office with patients coming from all over Northeast Ohio to be cared for by him. Together, Tom and Mary Jo had four children, Thomas (Julia Hawkins-Pokabla), Jr., Chris (Maygan) and Michael (Martina) and finally the daughter they always wanted, Jennifer (Rob) Lane. The love of his children knew no limits, no distance, and fostered a love of family that his children will carry for the rest of their lives and into their own families. Beloved beyond measure were his grandchildren, Ava and Michael, Ellie and Zoe, Jace and Bode, Lauren and A.J., and a beautiful baby girl on the way… Just like with his own children, Tom's love of his grandchildren knew no beginning or end. If there was an event, Tom was there, trying to swindle his way into the best seat in the house to cheer them on win or lose. Tom cannot be fully incapsulated by an obituary. He was a larger than life character who genuinely wanted to be a part of the lives of his loved ones. He greatly enjoyed his involvement with podiatric medical societies, the Howland Rotary, serving as it's president for several years, being on the sidelines at Howland High School football games as a team physician, directing the residency program locally for podiatry and podiatric surgery residents, and traveling to more countries and continents than can be listed. Always up for a bit of an adventure, Tom could be found out on Lake Erie on his boat, named the 'Mary Jo' in honor of his lady love, jet skiing into his '80s and water skiing well into his '60s, learning how to snow ski in his '40s along with his family, going to Teenie's Tavern for their fish and pierogi's during Lent, having a good cigar and glass of wine with a friend or his boys, getting over to Station Square as often as possible for an amazing meal with his wife, attending Slovak heritage events in and around the area, watching Seinfeld before he and his wife went to bed, talking with his brother Ted (Barb) on the phone about Nascar for the entire race, and trying his hand at fixing things around the house. After retirement, you could find Tom at home having a late breakfast with his wife, at cardiac rehab at Mercy Health talking with friends and exercising to 'lose those last ten pounds', texting out funny memes to friends, sneaking a sweet treat or piece of peanut butter toast, at church, at his grandchildren's events, or still trying to learn how to speak German. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marie and sister, Joan, who have received Tom into Heaven with love. Tom also was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, as well as his sister-in-law, Kathleen Brannan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 238 Tod Lane, Youngstown. Friends may call 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Avenue, Austintown. He will be laid to rest in the Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tom's honor to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley or the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
