The event takes place on April 30 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at parking lot 1 on the college campus. 'Our department, the Mass Comm(unications) Department and the Audio Engineering Department put this event on with the Student Activities and it's just a big community group effort, so it's really cool,' said Mike Jones, Audio, Video, Broadcasting Instructor at WITCC. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. People can bring their lawn chairs to enjoy multiple genres of music, including country, hip hop, and rock. The music line-up features: Gee Q Vee Kenny K and the Dead Cowboys Fair to Compare The audio and video engineering students will be overseeing all of the technical aspects and production of Witstock. 'It gives students the opportunity to practice their craft that they've been learning all year long. There's video, they're going to be a big video all this year. And the sound is done by the audio engineering students and they have a great time really doing what they do best,' said Jones. Luke Larson, a WITCC Mass Communications student, will serve as this year's Master of Ceremonies. The community college's Student Activities will provide the food and activities, such as corn hole, yard bowling, football toss, and more. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
