Good Fortune trailer: New film starring Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen, and Aziz Ansari in theaters October 17

Lionsgate has unveiled the first trailer for Good Fortune, the much-anticipated directorial debut from Aziz Ansari. The film follows Gabriel (Keanu Reeves), a well-meaning but bumbling angel who intervenes in the lives of a struggling gig worker (Ansari) and a wealthy venture capitalist (Seth Rogen). The cast also includes Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer. In a previous statement, Ansari praised Palmer, saying, 'Keke is a delight to work with. I'm so happy she's a part of our cast and even more excited to provide a quote for this press release announcing her casting.' Good Fortune marks Ansari's first feature as a director, following his success as star and creator of Netflix's Master of None. The film is produced by Ansari, Anthony Katagas and Alan Yang, with Ansari, Christopher Woodrow, Connor DiGregorio and Jonathan McCoy serving as executive producers. Brady Fujikawa and Jon Humphrey oversee the project for Lionsgate, with Dan Freedman, Phil Strina, John Biondo and Matt Leonetti having negotiated the deal for the studio. The film is a joint production between Garam Films, Oh Brudder, Keep Your Head, and Yang Pictures, and is presented by Lionsgate in association with Media Capital Technologies. Originally titled Being Mortal, the film was scheduled for release in 2022 but was shelved following allegations against then-star Bill Murray. Good Fortune is now set to be released in theaters on October 17.
